Hey, guess what we had in Chas SC, yes a Durian, Rick and I tried it for the first time. In one way we where very disappointed after watching Andrew's show Bizarre Food, the fear of what are we getting into, the o no!, your not opening that in here!Well we got up the what ever to try it.took all day. Well Smell- none, Terrible taste-none, Actually, the smell slightly sweet. The taste bordered riped bananas crossed with star fruit,yes the meat is quite soft,almost as if it were over ripped.We purchased this here in Chas SC,(traded under the brand name Lighting Horse.) It was light brown to gold in color, just as the books describe a ripe Durian should. Andrew if you could bring yourself or someone from your show, please advise me why after all the foods you put in your mouth,you could not do a Durian, Unless there's more then one type.
