Universal Studios and Six Flags Magic Mountain are not the best thrill parks in the world! The best thrill park would have to be Cedar Point, in Sandusky Ohio. It has 16 roller coasters with its new addition, the Top Thrill Dragster. Six Flags Magic Mountain may also have 16 coasters, but their most thrilling rides don't even compare to the top rides at Cedar Point. Goliath is the tallest and one of the most thrilling rides at Magic Mountain. It stands only 225 feet tall and goes 85 mph. The award winning Millennium Force at Cedar Point, however, is 310 feet tall and goes over 95 mph down an 85 degree hill along over 6,500 feet of track. This giga-coaster is in a complete different league than Goliath. When Cedar Point builds a new thrill ride, they set the standard in the roller coaster industry. Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster is a revolutionary new roller coaster that stands 420 feet tall and reaches over 120 mph two times in the ride. This strata-coaster is the best thrill machine on the planet, no questions asked! Magic Mountain's new ride, Scream, is relatively un-unique, because there are several of that same type of coaster all across the country. Even the technological thrillers at Universal Studios, don't even compare to the pure rush you get a Cedar Point. If you go to the web sites of various roller coaster enthusiasts clubs, you will find that Cedar Point rides dominate most roller coaster enthusiast lists of favorite rides. And those guys know their thrill rides! Being the second oldest amusement park in the world, next to Coney Island, Cedar Point has broken more records in the amusement industry than any other park. Cedar Point Had won over 6 awards for the best amusement park in the world this past year, from such companies as: Amusement Today newspaper, coasterbuzz.com, The Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain, The Great Ohio Coaster Club, and Thrillride.com. Cedar Point had also won countless awards for Best Steel Coaster, best Wooden Coaster, Best Ride, Friendliest Park Staff, Best Games, Biggest Park Capacity, Best Non-Coaster Ride, Best Live Shows, and a running record for having the tallest roller coaster. And no, I don't work for Cedar Point. All facts I state are current to the summer of 2003

Magic Mountain rules!Whats up with all of this "ooh Magic Mountian is a bad park, because umm...duh... Cedar Point has uhh... a ride that has a tad bit higher stats than Goliath."MadIn case you haven't noticed, on of their newest rides is X, the BEST roller coaster in the WORLD! You're able to spin in full turns, whether it be forward, or backwards.Cedar point is like childs play compared to Magic Mountain.I'm just curious...have you ever heard of SUPERMAN: The Escape? It goes from 0-100 MPH in 7 seconds, and there are 6.5 seconds of weightlesssness...beat that Cedar Point! magic mopuntaineer has not been around as long as cedar point has. cedar point is the 2nd oldest amusement park in the world magic mountain haqs only been around 30 years. there is no doubt that cedar point is a lot better then magic mountain. yeah it has 16 coasters l;ike cedar point but cedar point has a few coasters with some history like the blue streak its been around since 1964 many more years then magic mountain. and the cedar creek mine ride it is 1 of the first steel coasters in the united states and even the world so magic mountain is nothing compared to cedar point. maybe in 150 years then we can talk but till then magic mountain is nothing with no history. so dont brag cause no body is listening everybody is still telling everybody cedar point is the best park in the world peace out eric

Have you been to the new Universal Studios Islands of Adventure park in Florida? This place restored my faith in theme parks. All of the rides are themed on movies and comic books. They have
Spiderman-a moving 4d adventure unlike anything I have ever seen
The Hulk-One of the best roller coasters I have ever been on.
Dr Seuss World-Takes you inside the childrens books
Jurassic Park-Boat ride that goes terribly wrong
Popeye-White water rapids ride

In terms of themes and park organization, I have never seen anything that competes with this park.

i live about 20 minutes from magic mountain and go there a few times a year. the rides i have to say are awesome. "x" is definately the best ride ive ever been on. its 4th dimensional structure makes it one of the most unique roller coasters out there. it is the only one in the world today. ive been on it twice ( i would go on it more often except the line is always ATLEAST 4 HOURS LONG) and it is everything that a roller coaster does to a person. i mean to sit in the front row and on the first drop you seat roles forward and as you drop your looking straight into the ground. you'll be going through the ride and all of a sudden you bust out and do a backflip out of no where. it is an amazing technological ride. i hear great stuff about cedar point and i hope to go to there some day but from my experience six flags is the best around. the park does have some set backs though and i wont get into them. i hope for those who havent visited the park to eventually come to six flags and try out "x" it is an amazing ride and deserves recognition!

I've adored reading everyone's responses regarding their favorite park, and everyone's love of their park is understandable. Having been to all three of the in question parks, and many more, I have to say that all of the parks are exemplory. However, Cedar Point definitely over shadows the other two. The main reason is that the thrill level on the Cedar Point rides is a lot higher. I'm personally not a big fan of Top Thrill Dragster, due to how short of a ride it is, but for those few seconds it is thrilling. But the 'thrill' that people refer to regarding Cedar Point stems from the length, speed, height, and degree angle of rides like the Milennium Force, Magnum XL 2000, the Mantus, and the Raptor. As for the Gemini, Mean Streak (I hate this ride), and the other smaller coasters, even these are a lot of fun for most people. The Gemini has two cars running right by one another and riders root for their car color, slap hands around the turns, and generally go all out in open war-fare regarding which car will win. Smile Things like that are what set it apart, not to mention the fantastic views of Lake Erie from every coaster in the park. That is just fantastic! The other parks are definitely a LOT of fun, but Cedar Point blows the others right out of the water. Smile

And Philiflash Islands of Adventure is definitely a fantastic amusement park! Honestly I think that may be my number two favorite park, right after Cedar Point. The Hulk is incredible (I love the twist right at the beginning) and the Dragons! Simply fantastic!
