Travel Channel 

If you had a one day pass to one of the above theme parks, which would you chose? I am going to be in Orlando for one day and just wanted some advice on which one of these theme parks is the most exciting.

I have been to those 2 parks at least 20 times. IOA (Island's of Adventure) to me is the better of the 2 parks..BUT thats because it has ALL of the thrill rides. Universal has the Ride the movie's theme and is more for kids and there are 3 rides closed as of 2/28/03 they are adding rides so some of the classics are gone i.e. Kong IOA has 3 roller coasters 1 being the HUlk BADD A*# RIDE and there is Spiderman the ride that has to be 1 of the best rides ever!!!! always being highlighted on this station for best rides. It still has stuff for kids if you have them butt all therides are great there. right now if you buy a 1 day tic you get in the rest of the year so you can actually go to both!!

Ya, IOA is totally cool. Universal Studios is cool to but if I had to pick, I would go to IOA.

if you are a thrill seeker, IOA I think you would like. I am not. we did IOA in about 4 hours. Too many thrill rides to make the park good. The Studios side is also good, Better for us but still did the entire park in 3/4 a day. We had a much better time at disney. and unless our first born(do any day now) turns out to be a thrill seeker we would only get a 1 day hopper pass and do both parks in 1 day. We had a much better time at disney.

Universal's Islands of Adventure gets my vote.
It has some thrills and chills without being too child-like, i.e. Disney World, without being too old, i.e. Epcot. To me, great rides + quality themes = great fun!

I am a theme park queen. I love Disney in orlando florida. I've been twice. What I really like is even if it rains theres something to do inside. Not like Six Flags if it rains they shut down everything. We went this year(dallas texas) and it rained that morning. We went to see Ciera in concert. And we were afraid they were gonna cancel the concert but it stopped raining. We also went to Schiliterbahn in (new brafels texas). It is HUGE--My kids are teenagers so they dont like animal kingdom & epcot. But We are going back to disney, wet & wild, universal & islands of adventure and mgm Studios next year. I wanted to take them to california. So we are undecided between flordia and california but we will decide. We have some time.
