This is a device called a Frank's Box. I have seen them used and get really good and clear answers. You can make your own. Directions are on the internet.

The radio thing is big talk in the paranormal community these days. Chris Moon is most notorious for using it and it is call Frank's Box. You can look it up online and learn more about it. Interesting concept.

I didnt get it either , must be a UK thing.. I would have used a different technique and definitely had a digital voice recorder running...these guys could take a lesson from GH's.

Okay, i tivo'd the show and just finished watching it (yeahhh, got to skip past the commercials!)
i did hear a word very clearly, but i'd stark-raving mad to rewind and try to find it again. i put my headphones on and listened very carefully. Yes, I'm a dork. But just because i heard a word doesn't necessarily mean anything. Could the voices heard on that device have been people using other devices nearby that utilize radio waves? i.e.. walkie talkies, cb radios... etc etc ?

not to say that i don't believe there are spirits among us... duh... but i just don't buy into every gizmo and gadget used on these ghost hunting shows. for instance, i'm not impressed by Ghost Hunters Hawes and Wilson's K2 meter.
....and yet I continue to watch
