I worked at the park, I couldn't believe how much of a joke this show was. Thanks to this stupid show, visitors will be asking even more ghost questions and not enough about the battlefield.

They may have been spot on with things they said, but then any of us can research gettysburg and get the same information so there was nothing to impress me.

I'm having a hard time believing you're a tour guide in Gettysburg. Did you watch the same show we all did? Most Haunted is a joke! They hardly had any grasp on the history at all.

Since you seem to be convinced about thier accuracy I do have one question. Why can I not find any information about a Terrence Jackson from NC who they said was the sniper that shot Jennie Wade? I have been all through the NC rolls for Gettysburg and his name does not appear anywhere, nor can I find any records of a lynching at the bridge.

The other thing that I do not understand is that the name Terrence was not in use in the English language until the late 19th Century and became popular in the US during the Great Migration of that time. The name was popular in Ireland as TOIRDHEALBHACH and later Anglicized to Terrence. Being that the population of NC was of Native American and English decent and the surname Jackson is an old English surname, I can only think Terrence Jackson was of British decent and thereby wonder why his parents would have given him an Irish Christian name. Perhaps, as a tour guide in Gettysburg, you have access to information the rest of us do not and can put me in the right direction to further research this.

Also, as I know it, Jenny Wade was not purposefully targeted and shot by a sniper but mistakenly shot by a soldier taking target practice at a doorknob where she was which was common practice.
All that aside, I posted a true entry. It was a TV show for entertainment and not real.

I agree, there was very little that was accurate. I have done re-enactments in Gettysburg many times and have done a lot of historical research. BTW, my posts were meant to be sarcastic Smile
