hi, i'm brittney from ohio. when my family went to Gettysburg for vacation, we took the CD tour. we also took the tour at the Farnsworth house. our guide took us to the attic, then to the house of Jennie Wade, and then to a field where a male ghost liked to follow and interact with her. as we walked away from the field, i looked back. there walking was a confederate soldier in the recently empty field. next to him was another rebel solider. they both shouldered their rifles and walked back into the tree line. unfortunately, they disappeared before my mother turned around.we went in front of the Jennie Wade house. i knew nothing about it, and when we approached i got a random pain in my back. our tour guide later told me that Jenny was shot in the back and the bullet got tangled in the wiring of her dress in her abdomen. turned out she was shot in the exact spot of my pain. creepy, right?

Last summer I think it was when I went there. We were actually doing one of the Haunted Tours near a local creek bridge (forgot the name of it now). I thought I saw a few shadows in the wooded area not far from our right. Not exactly sure if it was paranormal or just something nautral, but freaked me out at the time. The part we were at was known to have been clogged with dead bodies of the battle when Gettysburg experienced heavy rains and flooding after the battle.

My bestfriend's family owns the Farnsworth house so we often go ghost hunting. When we were in the sitting room one evening snapping photos we were asking the spirits questions. There is an old coffee urn that sits in the room and to get coffee out of the urn you have to turn the spicket. It makes a distinct noise so it's hard to miss. I turned the spicket for no reason, and then we left the room. As soon as we left the room we heard the unmistakable sound of the spicket being turned back! It was the little boy playing..

Hello. I'm Cindy. I am in Richmond, VA. In Summer 1980 when I was 14, I was in Gettysburg with a church youth group. We visited various sites, all uneventful. I knew virtually nothing about the area at the time, especially its spirit history. At 10 p.m., we were at Devil's Den. I looked up to the ridgeline at the top of the hill where cannons were lined up. There, next to one cannon, stood a man who turned his head and looked directly at me. I immediately felt what he felt. He was about 17, too young to go through this. He obviously died violently there. The dispair he felt was intense. I was tremendously frightened and began running down to the parking lot. I was overcome with various intense emotions, the worst of which was deep sadness over the needless loss of his life. The horrible images of what he experienced flooded me. I cried uncontrollably for a long time. I felt his presence with me from then on for over a decade. I only spoke of it a few times to just family afterwards and always felt flooded again with emotions and tears. It always was as if I was him, the feelings I felt were his. I had seen once before that an old lady in my bedroom when I was about 7. So, this was something indescribable for me. The morning after, we were at a Civil War museum. In a glass case was a folded, gray, confederate soldier uniform. I immediately recognized it as being the same as that which the soldier I saw wore. Then, I knew it was a confederate soldier. I wish I could have learned his name and more about him.

You'll just have to go back! My mother actually worked there for a short bit, and while she was placing the silverware, she had a bin of it, a handful of the silverware levitated out of the bin and flew across the room.

It's really not that bad. They just want to be heard. Another time, a friend and I were wandering around out back, when my friend noticed something peculiar in the window. In the window was the silhouette of a little girl, she was resting her head on the sill. You could see right through her. My friend and I just stood there in awe, and the little girl finally lifted her head, waved a strange sort of wave and walked through the wall. It was one of the most intense experiences...
