Hey guys, I’d like to share with you this trip I once took in southern Thaialnd, in Phang Nga i went for diving and snorkeling adventures in the open sea. Firstly, for you to get there, the easiest way is to take the plane from Bangkok to Phuket airport and have the hotel pick you up. I stayed at the Haadson Resort which is in Phang Nga (www.haadsonresort.com). I highly recommend this resort after i spent a few nights there and was very impressed with the services and facilities. The resort is totally designed in modern, yet Thai style which i believe was an incredibly beautiful mix. I later met the owner of the resort, and the couple was both artchitects so it explained the stylish design there, and they’re very nice and helpful. The resort has its own beach but also it’s own lake.

I chose to stay at the Lakeside Island Villa (there’s another option - Coconut villa) and this villa is very very nice and private. The pool they have is quite large, especially in width. The food there is good, with two resaturants that i tried, one’s the Thai resaturant and the other is on teh pool deck.

I contacted the hotel to arrange for me a diving/snorkeling trip and they took me to the Surin Islands. This was the main purpose of why i went there because i’m quite fond of diving and adventures and I found these islands from the official tourism website of thailand –> http://www.tourismthailand.org/7wonders/ (go to the nature section –> choose ‘diving’ on the left).

You can rent tailboats or just let the hotel handle it (trust me, saves you a lot of hassle) and they’ll take you to around 5 different islands in the Surin Islands’ area and it’s great fun, especially when you go in groups and there’s always that one newbie who’s scared of jumping in the first time.
