1)People have heard baby cries from the children's room, could it be from Anna and Thomas's 1-year old son? The 1-year old son had died from a diesease, called terburculosis.

2) There's the sighting of Violet Whaley,one of the older daughters, she had committed suicide due to her streeful and embarrasing divorce.
She had shot herself through the heart.

3)Thomas and Anna Whlaey have been seen throughout the house.

4) People in the courtroom have heard heavy footsteps coming from up above the room. Could it be from Yankee Jim? Well, first off the Whaley house was built on gallows. And Yankee Jim had been hung for stealing a boat on the same place of where the whaley house was going to be built later on.

5)The dog has reportedly been seen.

6)Legend has it that one of the Whaly children's playmates named Annablle Washburn came over one day. And she and the whaley children were playing tag in the backyard and she tripped and fell into a low-hanging clothes line and it had crushed her throat. Mr. Whaley then brought her into the kitchen where she later died. So, people have reportedly seen the spirit of Annabelle.

Do you believe these poor souls still linger at this old house?

I have been to the Whaley House numerous times as my daughter lives in San Diego and was married just a few blocks from there. We often eat in Old Town and I know this is considered a very active site but I have yet to have an experiance there and consider the place over rated. It is quite small and in the middle of a very touristy area of souvenier shops. Now I am psychic and a believer and have heard the stories of this place but investagation shows there are more stories then fact in this case. I believe something must be going on there but I doubt it would be an intelligent haunting and I believe if spirits are there they cannot be convinced to move on. Many people have tried and yet the same claims are made again and again. Energy may remain but no spirits are trapped in this place. What intelligence may be there is there by choice.
