Just wondering, I mean, if ghosts and stuff offend you, why not go to X tian forums? As much as I may not like the KKK for example they have a right to say it, because you can't take away people's/groups right to say it, as heinous as what they say may be. I mean, I wouldn't post on say, neo nazi forums because they offend me and I have better things to do with my time. Soooo.....if the paranormal and ghosts offends people, why be here? I mean....I'm just sayin....

I agree with you, Lucygirl.

I do not understand why people who hate or are offended by a subject bother to sign up & post on a forum, only to cause problems to the believers? Why waste your time on something you do not believe in?

Skeptics are allowed to be and do what they do. I do believe in freedom of speech, all the way. And I support it too.

And if you believe in God, why do you look into spirits? Why do you feel the need to peach to a ghost believer forum? If you have that need, go somewhere else for it. People continue to bewilder & yet amuse me.

I'm a Christian myself, though admittedly an unorthodox one. Personally I think they do it because they're taught to try and change people's minds about things. They just happened to try and do it here, maybe by coincidence or because they liked Ghosts and things beforehand. But, yes, they're going about it wrong. That's one of the reasons I consider myself 'unorthodox'. I believe in what I believe in but I've also lived on the other side of the conversation and I know for a fact that talking to some people about certain things, namely religion, will only make them never see your way on it. Anyway, I agree that you really shouldn't sign up here if you're just going to try and ruin things for the rest of us. That's my take on why they're here. All about how they were taught. Something you may just have to grit your teeth and bare, I'm afraid. There are ones like me who know that 'preaching' to certain people will have the opposite effect on them, and then there are those like who this discussion is about, who are just doing what they were taught regardless of the effect.

P.S. - Man I love Ghost Adventures! Big Grin

Good to see you here, thebrothersramsey. Big Grin

Anyway, I agree. I don't have a problem with preaching but only preach to those who want to listen. Do not continue if someone refuses. The choice is theirs to make, not the preacher's.

I'm slightly a Christian but with a twist with my own beliefs. It is people who force religion and what man has turned the religion into that has changed my view when I was a child.

I love Ghost Adventures too. All the way! Big Grin

Hiya, the_nightingale! I remember seeing you on the Live forums. If memory serves, at least. lol Anyway, thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one out there. Being from a more strict Christian family, I often times think I am the only one with a slightly flubbed Christian belief system. ANYWAY! How'ya been? lol

Yeah, I was on the Live forums as well.

I was from a strict Christian family. From the moment I could understand the things going on around me, I had my mother's crazy views shoved into my mind. It was people like her that turned me into my own type of christian.

I've been great. Just rewatching the Live GA show, seeing if I can pick out anything I didn't notice before as I'm typing on here. Lol!

Yeah, I know how that can go. Though I can understand why my mother clings so much to Christianity. My half brother was...Well, I'll just say he was a 'handful'. Anyway, I'm somewhat doing the same. Just reviewing some videos of it on youtube. But, you may already know that having been on the other thread that keeps popping up to the top on here. :P

I have reviewed some evidence on Youtube too. I was in the other thread, I saw the picture & some of the video.

The picture could have been fixed up in Paint. You can zoom in, select the color gray and color in the zoomed-in pixels. Just a thought.

But it could have been an unnoticed spirits. Which I hope. :]

i used to be christian and i can say one thing about it and this thread topic. christians are terrorized into believing they will go to hell if they slightly stray from the book. then they are taught everyone else is automatically goin to hell and it is thier job to help save them from it. they are taught to spread the word. we are lucky the burning times are over cuz the word uised to be spread by the blade of a sword and a bonfire. they burned galileop at the stake for christs sake....for believing the sun was the center of our soloar system! i say mankind's most dangeropus enemy is the illusion of knowledge.

Well said guys!!! And BTW don't get me wrong people are free to believe whatever they want. And I have nothing against Christians, Jews, Muslims, whatever. My big sis is born again and she is the sweetest person ever. And oh Ussula Galileoe got off because the pope liked him, he recanted his statements so he wouldn't burn (smart guy) It's Carponicous (sp?) who wouldn't recant and was burned. See!!!I knew my dorky love of the discovery channel and nat geo would pay off!!!! LMAO!!! Smile

I agree with everyone here too. I was a catholic. I believe there is some truth in all religious beliefs. There is no one right belief. My personal opinion is that we are all here on a soul journey to learn what we can to become more enlightened and to grow spiritually. We all have to learn at our own spiritual level. Life is much more interesting with all types of people and beliefs that we learn from each other. How wise it is to listen and learn and not have a closed heart or mind. Again this is just my view of life. Smile

lucygirl-

did galileo eventually get out of being burned at the stake?? thats good news if he did tho i had been under the impression he hadnt. do ytou have a link so i can verify the info? if im wrong about i certainly dont want to keep saying he had been burned. either way the point is they planned to burn him. and i know for certain they did burn bruno at the stake. he was another great thinker of the times and his crime was nothing more than suggesting each star was another sun that had its own solar system and its own earth and its own life forms all created by god.

Yup! Here ya go! And yes indeed he came veeeery close to being burned, he was lucky to say the least to avoid that!! You're probably confusing him w/ Carponicos (sorry can't spell his name)
