I have loved this show since the beginning and with any show about the paranornal there are going to be die hard believers and cut throat skeptics. Regardless if their findings are authentic or are planned ahead these guys have got nerves of steel. I am one of those die hard believers in the paranormal and I think what these guys are doing is great. But whether you do or don't believe you still have to give the guys the proper respect for what they do. They go into these places that most wouldn't even consider looking at and tread around in the dark trying to provide proof of another plane of existence. The guys are great and I have the utmost respect for what they do. Keep it up guys!

to that end....
Physically locking themselves in a location is not only unnecessary but it damages the location where the hardware has to be attached... I would like to see them not make such a big deal about being 'locked in' at a location. they are there to find the paranormal so they should not need to be psychically locked in. I believe that's just a ploy to heighten the viewers sense of impending doom. |

I will add to the kudos here and try to keep this thread on a positive side.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with wllstl on this one. I don't think they have to be "locked" in and I think they do it for the benefit of the show. Those of you who saw the first show about the Goldfield Hotel (I think it was called) if you recall they were also "locked" in but actually jumped off a second floor balcony because they couldn't deal with the brick being thrown across the room. I also don't like the lock in because it does damage the property and I think they should come up with a new way to "lock" themselves in than attach hardware to the doorways. I do enjoy watching the show and I think the guys do pretty good but remember it is a show and they are going to use "drama" to get the ratings.

and that's awesome if thats why u're watching the show...i can't turn my brain off when I watch it so I always catch the mistakes... not saying that you or anyone else isn't using their brains when they watch but it's impossible for me to not dissect the show... |

LOL, Believe me wllstl your not the only one who dissects the show. I think for someone who is new to paranormal investigating they are going to watch the show and believe everything they see and hear, and unfortunately believe thats how its done, but for those of us who have been around it for a long time we tend to note things that could have been done better or perhaps approached differently.

so this is why it seems like Im banging my head against the walls questioning the people who say this is the best show ever... if u like this show just from the dramatic point of view than who am I to rain on their parade? But for people who say they are awesome ghost hunters I must voice my protest... |

I think people belive they are awesome because they have never done an investigation themselves and maybe they are living vicariously through these 3 men. There are alot of paranormal investigators who have been through much more than these three guys, but as we all know everyone has their opinion.

besides nerves..these guys most def. got the looks. especially zak ;] well anyways, i am also a die hard believer in the paranormal & i believe every second of what these men do. i don't know if i would have the balls to do what they do, i am very easily scared..even though i like being scared, i would hate to be "locked down" with just 2 of my friends. uh'uh no way.
p.s. zak's a total babe ;] |

I am no paranormal investigator but I am a fan of these type of shows. I found that shows like "Scariest Places on Earth" (I know that the best example) seem phony. I guess you can say, GAC make even the skeptical believe. Not that I believe everything mind you.
So it is true we live vicariously through them but its also the same idea with the other paranormal investigation shows. Majority of America is to chicken sh-- to go into these places to prove to the world spirits may or may not exist. If other paranormal investigators have gone through some CRAZY sh-- AND caught it on tape and audio, then HEY! Share with the world. WE AIN'T GONNA GO into an abandoned psych hospital or prison... SO props to GAC and OTHER paranormal investigators!! |

Being a paranormal investigator for over 30 years I have been into alot of places, cemetaries, abandoned buildings, hospitals, museums, antique shops, private homes etc. There are alot of investigators out there, its just we don't have the connections to get a tv show but I don't think it fair to say the majority of America is to chicken #@%! to go into these places. Besides you don't have to go to those kind of places to find spirits, spirits are everywhere and they are even there during the daytime.

How can they be so great if they run screaming every time they hear a noise? |
