hey my girlfriend mentioned a place that she saw on 100 places to see before you die or something it was a place either in alaska or canada. she described a hotel that sat on the edge of a cliff that overlooked the ocean and it was like always stormy. all the rooms had like thick thick windows and you could sit behind them and watch the storm and the waves crash against the cliffs. i cant seem to find anything on it by just google searches. but yeah if we get married that's where we want to honeymoon so i would get some major brownie points if someone could help me out
This might be too late for you looking at the date of the post, but I just found this. Anyway, the answer to your question I think you are thinking of Homer, Alaska. You would have to fly into Anchorage and drive to Homer. It is about a 5 hour drive (but worth it). Just don't start out late in the day, because the road is windy and narrow and no rail guards. And they close the highway sometimes if there is weather problems, rock slides and after 10pm. Besides the scenery is so pretty you don't want to miss any of it. At the end of Homer, is what they call the Spit and there is a hotel there. The restaurant attached is called "End of the World". Really worth the trip. (even if this is not the location you are looking for).
