Lee was a wonderful host and his passion for art is contagious. Please schedule more shows so we can see other exciting places and much more art.

Art is expression! The Travel Channel found a winner when they paired Lee Sandstead’s very expressive personality with such a refreshing show. You can’t make this stuff up. Yes, he has to be “over the top” to appeal to GenX and GenY and that’s fine with me….it keeps the history alive to an audience that may otherwise have delved into another episode of some reality show…..This is true reality…the drama, the struggles, the pain, the unrest that inspired much of this art is reality in the true sense of the word. …and he’s appealing universally because he really knows and loves art…not just a talking head. Art lovers from all walks of life will be able to appreciate Lee either because of his delivery or the content… both of which are fabulous. He made the Met look like the hottest ticket in town……… This show is a hit!

Loved the show, Lee is great, full of energy and obviously full of passion for art. Even kept the attention of my children (ages 14, 11, 8, 6,- even the 2 year old was quiet for a few minutes while watching the graphics and seeing the art) I truly hope the travel channel decides to make this a regular show.

I have only seen the trailer, but it is enough for me!! I know I am going to love it! I have been waiting for a travel show to museums and this plus a passionate art history prof. as the host is just more than I ever dreamed would happen.and please don't say "Frickin" on national TV

It was really great to see this show on TV! I absolutely love art, and I was so happy not only to see a show about art on the Travel Channel, but to see one that was both informative and down to earth. So often people get pretentious about the subject and only use their knowledge to put others down or just to make themselves look good. I see a lot of people dedicate their lives to art, but it's so hard to find people get set on fire about it like Lee Sandstead does. And what he had to say about each of the pieces was really fascinating! He wasn't just excited about his subject, but he was excited to share it with everyone. That's what really made me like the show.

That being said, he could back off just a little bit on the volume of his voice Smile I noticed this more in the beginning of the show, though, and it got much better towards the end. Some of the flashy editing can go too. I can see that the show is trying to appeal to an audience that's not too into museums, but it is the Travel Channel. I don't think it needs to try quite as hard as that.

I am so disappointed that the travel channel decided to drop scheduled repeats of Art Attack with Lee Sandstead this evening. What's the matter Travel Channel - Don't you like a good show when you see it?

Lee Sandstead is the best and definitely entertaining while providing significant information about art. Most public schools are discontinuing art programs - the travel channel needs to continue a great concept. Put art attack back on the schedule!

I just watched the show for the first time from a previous recording and it was great. I have been to the met several times. I am always overwhelmed by how much is there and how little real knowledge I'm able to take away from all the artifacts. With the Travel Channel and Lee as my guide I am able to gain truely in depth and significant knowledge of some the key exhibits without leaving the comfort of my couch!

I never knew the french used to be up-tight about seeing a little skin! Or that the famous painting that is used as my minds image of George Washington crossing the delware has such a high degree of artistic license taken. Or that there have been significant evolutional milestones such as the depictions of Jesus as a small man versus a cute baby etc...

From watching this show, I feel like I could have a meaningful converstaion with an art historian!

Lee-

I just finished watching your show Art Attack on the Travel channel and thought it was great. I am a elementary teacher (with an Art minor) and thought your show was interesting. It is hard as an educator to get the other teachers in my school to teach real art and not crafts. Actually on February 29th, I am teaching a workshop (to 5 different school districts) called "Beyond Arts and Crafts, How to develop your art curriculum" At my workshop I am going to give out your email address, because your site is great. My question is are you going to make more shows? Thanks for your time!

I thought the show was great! I am a professor of art and getting some people excited about art can be a challenge. With his enthusiasm, Lee could get almost anyone to look at art. For people in the "art world" he is probably a bit over the top, but this show is mostly designed for people who aren't in the art world.

I would love for you to keep this show so I can show my family why I love art so much!

I was impressed with Lee's energy, though the Oxyguy comparison did ring true. I felt that the show exposed five excellent pieces of art in a fairly compact period of time. I would really enjoy seeing more...

I was extremely impressed by Art Attack, but I was also disappointed that it is not on the Travel Channel anymore. Are they shooting another season? Anyone know? Mr. Sandstead?

Thanks!
