an electronics store in downtown NY? hmmmmmmm. could that be J & R? or maybe not THAT downtown. I ask because that's where I get all my electronics including the digital camera which I take all my pictures for this website with. I have never been to Puerto Rico but have certainly heard of that hotel. Thanks for watching my show and happy holidays!

Thank you for the "Hi", if I have anything to say about it you will see me at the 2005 Oscar's.
Have you had a chance to read the poem I left for you, hope you know who it is.

I made it past the Godiva shop however it's Tescher Chocolates that I have a problem with. I would write bad checks just to afford their expensive yet euphoric champagne truffles.

we definately want to go there and even thought that it couldn't be just a 1/2 hour episode but two 1/2 hour's-possibly a one hour night-time special. My sister and her family have gone every year for the past three so she always fills me in. happy holidays!

that's a terrific suggestion and thanks for the research. Wink Y'know I'm not sure why we never made it to Charleston. I've been there a couple of times for my first series Great Vacation Homes. And I would certainly agree that the people there are utterly charming.

Sam, I noticed you were on right now and I just wanted to wish you and your family happy holidays! Although it doesn't seem like we New Yorkers will be having a white Christmas, I am sure you will have a wonderful time celebrating. (I know, I should have waited until you responded to my last post before I wrote in again) Razz Take care!

ask and you shall receive..

It's pretty much official but I will be doing two one hour specials on a cruise ship. It's an EAT YOUR HEART OUT itinerary that will surely delight all cruisers however it has made me downright despisable in the eyes of all my friends. We shoot in May so I'm not certain when it will air. I will certainly fill everyone in on all the details shortly.

I believe (i'm not the last word on these things or even the first) that my production company was finding it hard to find a Great Hotel in that area. There are alot of nice seasonal Inn's and such and of course it's a huge vacation destination however we need not just one but at least two really fabulous hotels in order to justify our budget. That certainly does not mean that Myrtle Beach isn't a great place it just needs to shown off in another show. Big Grin

well thanks for stopping by to say hello. Smile Possibly a better reality series would involve all the talent from Discovery Channel living together under one roof. The Kids from Trading Spaces, myself, Monster Garage maybe the Croc Hunter could make a few appearances.

I was just joshen with ya. The fact that you and everyone on here actually takes the time to say hello and how you enjoy the show makes me feel incredible. It doesn't matter if you have seen the show once or a hundred times. But I'm glad you have been a watcher for some time.

HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!

I thought those lyrics were exceptionally clever. The song hit a particularly strong emotional cord seeing the The Bare Neccessities was the song I sang in my second grade class production of The Gong Show. I was fear stricken and sang the entire first verse in an inaudible whisper ever so often lifting my arms in a sort of Vanna White gesture. I was gonged. no hard feelings. Did you meet Prof. Ingram? Was it Lizzie or Malcolm? I was Viola in Malcom Ingrams Twelfth Night and part of the Greek Chorus in The Greeks. The two of them were my strongest influences and continue to be so today.

Well I was certainly getting nervous that you wouldn't be checking in. All the greats seem to be here Capttuttle, Mom Orange, Ashley, Keldvm, shakirafuego etc. But it wouldn't be a forum without the ol Karld! I have really grown fond of those wrist band tape dispensers. they make wrapping presents a little more pleasant. take care and Happy Holidays!

I like that idea of the lesser known activities and attractions. I'll bring it up at our next meeting. I think the outfits at Y & B are cute dresses with aprons in yellow and white. shouldn't be too bad. Wink

If it means anything I love The Music Man. Fond memories of playing Zaneeta and singing "the Shipoopee Song" and saying "ye Gads" in a high and annoying shrill. "Til there was you" is a lovely number as well. I tried to set it right with Mr. Livermore. I need to remember that there is no inflection in the written word and my posts can come off as harsh if someone doesn't know what a total wiseacre I am. Can you believe Mother Orange's experiences? I find myself envious.

The hotels we are doing in Hawaii are, drumroll please....

Molokai'i Ranch
Turtle Bay on Oahu
Halekulani
Kea Lani Maui
Hana Hotel Maui

don't know yet as far as Colorado is concerned but you can bet it will be a winter episode. Something different for our Great Hotels crew (they are all from Florida and New Orleans so I think they are going to be grumpy)

good suggestions. I like the murder mystery weekend at Macinaw Island.

I have a great suggestion if y'all do the Budget Disney thing, and if you include off-property places at it. When I arrive in Orlando, I'm staying at this Holiday Inn for one night that has KidSuites, little partitioned-off areas in the rooms that have bunk beds, video game systems (whatever the cool one is that the kids use nowadays), and other stuff. The kids even have their own check in desk where they get a gift bag. It's also an insanely cute building, all different colors and everything. It's called the Holiday Inn Sunspree. You could probably fit in a few really great off-property hotels, I know there's others out there.

And, of course, if you need any help at all with any of this while you're down there, please feel free to look for me at Y&B!

there are no rehearsals we tape every take just in case I get it right. I'm the writer which is a very loose term in that I do most of my writing 5 minutes before we tape so it's a writen/improved show. We arrive at the hotel the night before it's showtime so I have a few hours to get my barings and get a feel for how I want the show to go. Usually I am staying in the room that is mine in the show so it is not only not my first time seeing the room when I open the door but you can bet that the closet I am not showing is stuffed with all my stuff.

oh and i make lots of mistakes. lots.

I hope you are still on line! What a marathon typist you must be right now!

I am a huge fan from California and love your whole down to earth, yet spunky persona. I have to admit your transformation from the early shows to current "Yowza" look is quite amazing.

Enough gushing, I am halfway through a bottle the Local Napa's best Zinfandel (my fave) and noticed you were answerin' mail so I took a chance. Anyway Happy Holidays! Do you have a date for New Years?? I bet you do, but what the hay, a guy's gotta ask....

Could I get a pic too?? That would make my year!

Bye for now!

Well let me first say that I am deeply sorry for the situation that made you discover Great Hotels. Your words were incredibly uplifting to me and yet I feel it is you who needs such a pick me up. It is the greatest honor to receive a note like yours. To be told that your show has made a small difference in people who have been going thru very tough times means the world.jd7 b (that strange code was actually the workings of my cat Fiona who has just jumped up on the computer-it's 12:30am and she's wondering why I haven't come to bed yet) But to answer your question. It all started with the series Great Vacation Homes which shot 5 years ago is no longer on the Travel Channel. The idea was that I visited home owners in their wonderful vacation homes, point out their furniture and architecture and chat with them. The problem was that I knew nothing about furniture or architecture. My major being Musical Theatre. I read many books on the subject before my first day of shooting but when the camera's started rolling I remembered nothing. Was that an oak cabinet or cherrywood? Is that chair Stickley or mid-century modern? I simply had no clue. Soooooooo I hid my ignorance with humor. I made things up and concentrated on the emotional value of the home. Travel Channel loved it. They always knew they did not want that boring talking head and they have always supported me and my wacky way of approaching things. So in short I would say it's my personality that is completely nurtured by my producers. I'm a very lucky gal.

thanks for taking the time to write. I hope your Holidays give you some peace and relaxation. Oh, and tell your father I said hello. Smile

I will most certainly send a picture to you. and to finish the story. Travel Channel ended Great Vacation Homes because none of the homes were available for rent or only a few. So GVH turned into Great Hotels. sorry that was a long story. good-night.

Are you still on? Looks like you had your own marathon session with the computer tonight! Anyway, I hope you're warm and cozy and sleeping as it's after midnight for you. I, however, am working tonight and it's looking like we're about to get busy.

The Lance Armstrong thing was through the Lance Armstrong Fountation. A great website for all of you to check out is www.laf.org Wonderful organization based more on survivorship and awareness then on the downsides of cancer. I am a member of the peloton project, which is the grass roots fund raising part. Any one with questions, feel free to contact me.

Samalma, I get to tell mom the big news tomorrow!!! It's important to me that it is NOT a christmas gift, but this is the first time we'll all be together since she finished treatment. And I've been avoiding her since I'm weak and would have cracked under her spell Smile

We will be in NYC on Jan 31. The show is on 2/1 and we'll stay around all day Monday 2/2 to sight see. A quick trip, but a great trip.

Any suggestions to see the city? She won't be able to walk a lot - but should be feeling better by then.

And it looks like the Waldorf - concierge level. The Plaza does not have any vacancies and I just couldn't absorb the cost of the St. Regis, although we may try to have tea there on Monday. She is going to be just as thrilled that you've help in the planning!

Hey....WE"VE GOT SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile Big Grin Smile Big Grin

If I don't hear from you, have a great christmas!!! Hope Santa brings you all you've asked for. And Fiona too! I know Tilly gets spoiled on christmas. Not that she isn't spoiled otherwise!

And to dejardins, capttuttle, motherO, ashley, karld and all the other regulars that I'm forgetting as well as all everyone else... Have a safe and Merry Chrismas!

Hello Samantha. I'm 19 years old and love to travel. I've been blessed enough to have been to many parts of the world in the short time I've been around. Your show completely fascinates me and so do you. It must be incredible to go to all the places you've been to. You seem like a great person so I'm sure you deserve to experience the wonderful things you do.

Also, I think it's amazing that you are so close to your fans and take the time to talk to them. Thanks for reading this and take care.

Samantha,
Of course you must have been Viola. Could you have deserved any lesser role? Supposedly Shakespeare's favorite, and I suspect you played a pretty good one, too, probably Felicity Kendal-esque. Rosalind of As You Like It is my favorite Shakespearean heroine, but that's likely because I've never seen Much Ado on the stage (though Emma Thompson's Beatrice in the movie version certainly won my heart).

And I'm glad I did get to see Music Man again - thanx, Turner Movie Classics. Til There Was You is nice, and I do like the way the melodies throughout interweave (contrapuntal? I'm out of big words this late at night). Nice to see Shirley Jones in her pre-Partridge Family days (and we *know* you watched that religiously, Sam, though for other reasons...). But I've always had a visceral hatred of barbershop quartets... and I bet Ron Howard would buy back every existing print if he could, if only for his little knickerbocker costumes.

But now that it appears you've safely vaulted past me in your marathon performance of your own tonight, Sam (you *are* really reading our posts, aren't you?), I'll just wrap things up for me this month by admitting your ingenious logic the other day about women, equality, and spas at Colonial Williamsburg. Of course our Founding Fathers looked directly at women all around them then and firmly declared they didn't see anything unusual as they talked about rights of voting and taxation for.... men, and where better than in Williamsburg to redress the balance for everyone's unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and that wonderful four-hand backrub and mud bath? I just wish they didn't have to choose getting rid of a museum in order to plunk in a posh spa instead... (They ARE nice, though, aren't they Sam, massages and such? I've never had one, to be honest. Too busy reading history instead, I suppose.) As for Grant L., I think I made some sardonic remark to you, Sam, on the very first post I ever had the nerve to peck out to you (about your puns...) which I believe you sort of took the wrong way then as I hadn't discovered the little winky face thing yet, and I've also more than once given an impression I didn't mean things as they were received by other people. I'm sure it more or less works out in the end.

Speaking of which, as I'm out of here tomorrow and more or less incommunicato (sp?) for the remainder of this thread (well, I'll probably sneak a peek at my brother's, but wouldn't dare risk blowing my cover as Capt. Tuttle by posting), a few parting words: Carol The Hummingbird Lady, I hope you didn't get rattled too badly by the earthquake (we actually had a 4.5 way over here a couple weeks ago - quite a sobering experience; when you can't trust the ground underneath your feet, what can you?). Ashley Kristen, looks like a slushy wet Xmas for you, dear, but at least you get Hawaii in a few months (I've never been). And Mother Orange, I forgot a Ham House vignette for you - when I was hiking along that riverside path, I eventually passed a public loo -- not a soul was around and it was most conveniently sited, so I gratefully hopped inside, not knowing that it had these motion sensor things that suddenly set lights smashing on and toilets flushing in unison as I stepped in the deserted building. Scared the living p*ss out of me, of course, which was rather ironic as that was what I was about to do anyway. But it was only on the hike back that I was ready to do so again in my own familiar way. So watch it, next time you go there (and we know you will). Was that 750 words for the constest? And let me also remind you that Krispy Kreme's are the product of my home state (where I'm whisking down to tomorrow) of N. Carolina. Ah, deep fried batter covered in sugar.... (Homer Simpson drooling noises inserted here). But of course you have to eat them fast before they turn into cardboard. And as for the novel, if you REALLY want to peruse it (I bet you'd enjoy it), let me leave here an e-mail address - it's not my main one, but one that I sometimes use: dem6p@yahoo.com I won't be able to send you some chapters until I get back in a few days, but I really would be delighted to get your opinions. Anyone who's read Mad Magazine for twenty-some years is clearly a literary master.

And Sam, last of all but ever in our minds on your thread, thanks for being open for business in what has to be about the least convenient week for you. It brings me great pleasure to hear that I can brighten up your day -- that's why I ever come here to try to do that for you, and it brightens up my entire month to hear you say so (or peck out as you fly down the list of devoted posters). You charm us almost every day (and if you don't mind my saying so, that episode they showed today, where you were flouncing about the state of Texas in that bare-shouldered blouse, made me a bit weak in the knees; fortunately I was sitting down at the time) and it's a profound delight to be able to e-mail with you. So I hope you and your mom (and anyone else in tow) have a great Christmas, and my present to you is to get off your board now, but you know I look forward to chatting in '04 (no Monticello on the back of the nickel that year! Worse than losing you from noon to one.) So Bye, Sam

Hey, Sam. Please tell your mom I said Hi, and that Reading rocks!
Although I will be leaving rockin'-cold-Reading for the warmth of the island of Tobago a few hours into 2004.
I had to read the travel channel schedule for the entire month of January so I could set my VCR - for Great Hotels of course!
The infomercial was a lot of fun - lots of sweet people out there in Orange County. Oh HEY - I was using a line from you the entire time I was out there - "Oh the Perks!" I loved that Cool
If you ever turn on the TV and see an infomercial for children's books called, "Traveling Bear," - that's the one. I'm the expert testimony as author of my own book, "Taking the Bully by the Horns." I had to look, "kid-friendly" so I couldn't wear anything "funky-cool", and they ended up putting my hair up Victorian style. Go figure!
At least I'm not wearing a cotton candy pink Capri outfit. KIDDING KIDDING! Wink I thought you looked cute!
Enjoy your time with mom.

Thank you for your welcome, Sam!

Hopefully there will be another season of Great Hotels, and you'll get a chance to visit Charleston then. In the meantime, you're going to wonderful places and I love watching the show now, since it's dreary and depressing in NY,and at least I can be an armchair traveler!

Have a wonderful holiday!

The offspring have all finally returned to the nest and I must soon set out for the tree farm so that we can have our annual family argument about which one to cut down, followed by the inevitable snowball fight. But first, to answer your question, it was Lizzie, and yes, I did have the pleasure of meeting her. She still seems to be very much loved by her students. Thank you for writing when you should have been in bed, with visions of Varsity wings dancing in your head. Indeed, I have already consumed some for you, as my husband insisted on having them for our first meal on our return. As for Krispy Kremes, yes, they began making them in Harrod’s in October, but introduced them at the Notting Hill Carnival in August, from a booth very close to my flat. I happened to be there when they unloaded the first truck and I think I actually bought the first dozen in London! What an honor! As for whoopee pies, I only found one in Europe, neatly cut into quarters for dainty eating. Discovering it involved making a pilgrimage to Canterbury and proceeding past the Cathedral entrance down the cobbled Burgate, past the Laura Ashley store, and taking a right on a street called IronBar, where the little Wilmshurst and Sons Confectionary is right there on the left. (Take note, Captain, and do stop in at the Cathedral while you are there to check out the stained glass windows, the usual reason for going to the town, as you well know)) Speaking of the Captain, I am impressed and happy that he has written a book and at this time it is enough to know that. I don’t think it would be a wise idea to exchange e-mail addresses or I would be spending too much time on the computer. But I’ll think about it as the winter drags on. We do seem to be “ an archipelago of extraneous islands in the Sea of Sam.” Isn’t that one humdinger of a phrase he came up with!! Thanks for so generously putting up with our banter.
In closing, I must tell you that whenever I went to the theatre this fall, I would think of you during the curtain call. Poor Sam, who dreamed of a career on the stage, stuck for years behind a T.V. screen where she can never see or hear her audience. But that is what this forum allows you to do, doesn’t it? That is the reason we are all here. Imagine yourself, standing on the stage with your talented crew and the great people who do your editing, your music and very clever sound effects. You can see us all out there quite easily. Front row center, there’s Captain Tuttle, because he camped out to be first in line for tickets. I’d be close by, perhaps sitting with Carol and chatting about hummingbirds and the Napa Valley at intermission. The stalls are filled with all of the great forum regulars and the many, many smitten ones, as well as the ones who just like how you make them laugh, or take them to a much nicer place than the place they’re in. And over to the right, there’s ashleykristen and all the high school and college students who see you as a role model and seriously want to do what you do. And who might that be, going up and down the aisles with the flashlight? Why it’s mod Kelley, keeping the kids in line. Yep, the tykes are there too, because you stand there and talk to them in a warm and genuine Mr. Rogers sort of way, and they listen and love it. Up in the balconies are all the people you can’t see. They don’t know about the fansite, maybe because they are in nursing homes and hospitals, or just at home alone with no Internet. There’s not an empty seat in the house. So rise up in front of your computer and take your long awaited bows. We all stand and applaud you. You pulled off a splendid performance this year, Samantha Brown, and we are glad we came to your show.
Merry Christmas to all, and all the best to you, your Mom and Fiona,
Mother Orange

OK, so, I'm back, but only because it's raining like a... well, like a very rainy thing, and I'm gonna wait a few more minutes before taking off. Mother O, a very impressive closing statement, if I may say so, and you're quite right about exchanging e-mails, which I've been very leary of doing thus far (but since it's out there now, albeit a secondary one, let me know should you ever change your mind...). My theatrical debut was in first grade where I was an owl in a Winnie The Pooh play, and of course blew my line ("Oh you are, are you?"... see, I can do it now when it doesn't matter) and even as a semi-recluse afterwards in life have been blowing them ever since (once cheerily referred to Monticello's Gilbert Stuart portrait of TJ to my group as being by Gilbert and Sullivan). So we can all admire Sam's perseverance and strength of character as she overcame her first thespian stumble and became the flawless, or semi-flawless performer she is today. And we adore her for it, even as we head for the door to blast out of town for the family holiday thing. Best wishes to everyone who said complimentary things about my posts and I apologize for boring the rest of you (and if anyone can explain how to go back and edit our posts afterwards so we can fix those pesky typos we missed I'd be greatly appreciative). And of course Samantha, happy Christmas Eve, and I truly am gone now....

Well Sam, I have woken up to an overcast, sunshineless day this morning and yet no precipitation- but we will see what falls, whether it be rain or snow soon (hoping for the latter). But no matter how the sky is decorated, it's Christmas Eve! I am in charge of desserts for this Christmas and I must begin cooking this morning. I have several dishes I am excited to prepare- such as warm apple cobbler or pie (haven't decided yet), cheesecake, and what would dessert be without some chocolate? I am looking online right now for some good chocolate recipes. As for Christmas day, we will be home in the morning to open gifts under the tree and in the early afternoon we will head to my Grandparents house to meet up with all of our other relatives. Knowing you love to cook, I am presuming you are busy today as well. With that, I will be speaking with you the next time you visit this forum! Have fun shooting more great hotels! Take care and Happy Holidays!

Well, I saw the 11 O'Clock showing of the Disney Holiday special last night and it was splendid. That place certainly has a lot to offer holiday visitors. I have to admit that I would be one of those people who would try to eat some of the full-size gingerbread house. Wink

After giving it some thought, I have realized that you really don't need a sidekick at all. You're doing a marvelous job on your own and I would probably just get in your way.

I don't know, maybe I'll contact Rachael Ray over at the food network to see if I could be her TV dining companion. Of course, they'll have to increase the food budget to quite a bit more than $40 a day. I'm rather svelte, but voracious nonetheless.

Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year! Big Grin

Thank you for responding to my message. I was looking forward to you responding. I watched the marathon on Tuesday, and I'm glad I did there were a couple of episodes I haven't seen yet. I hope you plan on coming out to Las Vegas again. Isn't it nice out here. If you are coming back out here there is a casino out in the Summerlin area that you might want to check out (The Rampart Casino). Well I hope to hear from you soon. Have a safe and Merry Christmas. I wanted to say I think you do a great job. I loved the Disney Holiday show and the Grand Californian Hotel episode. Unfortunately, those are the only shows I have gotten to see lately.

I was glad to hear that consideration is being given to showing the cheaper Disney hotels. I would like to suggest the Port Orleans Riverside. It is one of their moderate resorts. My family loved it. I think you would too.

You should see if they would consider adding a Disney cruise to one of your Disney hotel adventures. It is so much fun. I got to go on the Disney Wonder for my birthday last month. We had a great time. It would definitely be a great way to extend a Disney World trip. You would have to try a Bahama Mama drink. I rarely drink, but this was very good.

My son is waiting for his turn to use the computer and I have candy and cookies to make so I will go. I just have one last thing to add.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! MAY YOU EXPERIENCE JOY AND GOOD HEALTH IN THE NEW YEAR! Smile

Hey Sam we love this season shows, you looked like you had a lot of fun filming the Disney x-mas show. We have a suggestion for next season holiday. How about doing a Hawaii & Las Vegas holiday shows?

We have questions that we're curious about:

1. This sounds like a silly question but, I always wondered if you rake up on all the toletries you show us?
2. Do you really eat all the food in front of you or does it goto the camera crew?
3. How about doing a behind the scenes show?
i.e. who decides on the hotels, what do you guys do during downtime?
4. Does the camera crew stay at the same hotel with you?

Hi, Sam! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back, the holidays and all, you know.

Just finished watching your Disney Christmas special. Wonderful! I can't wait to go back either next year or the following year. What would make it extra spiffy is if you were there at the same time, but the odds of that... well, probably rather improbable.

I love how you always bring a freshness to your show, even if it's a place you've been before, like Disney World. (And I believe I prefer your longer hairstyle.)

And if I could slip into begging mode for a second... my picture of you got a bit mangled when I moved. Any chance I could procure another from you, please? My email is davros72@earthlink.net.

Keep up the amazingly wonderful work, have a special happy holiday season, have fun, and be sure to take care of your sweet self!

Cheers!

Samantha,

Hello! My name is Michelle and I'm an 18-year-old college freshman at the University of Arkansas. Right now I am majoring in Music Education, but I'm not real sure about it. I LOVE to travel and I LOVE your show. It is a relief from school to come back to my dorm room and watch your show and dream about being where you are! I just have one question for you... how did you get your job? Is there any certain degree I should pursue? I would LOVE to do what you do or something similar to it, and I am just curious as to what I would need to do to get there. Thank you so much! Keep on doing what you're doing!!!!

Samantha,

Wow, I couldn't believe my eyes. You actually responded to my two postings. Someone as busy and special as you are takes time for me, that really means a lot. I asked you for an autographed picture and you asked me for an email address...(zaneyone1@earthlink.net). I could give you a real address if you email me but if you planned a email photo, that is ok too. Anything from you would be just special.

Thanks again for your comments on Myrtle Beach. Sorry it doesn't quite meet the show's requirements. Too bad, I would have loved a chance to meet you. I live in Raleigh, but I would have made the journey to see you. Keep up the good work. Hope Santa was good to you.

Feliz Navidad! -To all you Merry Christmas'ers. I am actuallly 13 minutes late-it's now December 26 however it's been a full day as you can imagine and I am only now able to get myself to my computer...Sorry, I can't miss one episode of Alton Brown's Good Eats-no relation unfortunately. My mom is joining me here in the Big Apple (she says hello) We started our day at the rescue shelter for Kittykind taking care of the abandoned cats. I volunteer every Thursday when I am home and every holiday this year falls on a Thursday. I am sooooo dreading getting up at 8 am on New Years Day, yet Cats have a way of putting a smile on my face no matter what. For Christmas my mom got me beautiful things for my kitchen including an Indrustrial sized crock-pot. I'm tempted to really test it's slow cooking capabilities by putting in some stew ingredients before I leave for Hawaii on the 5th and seeing what happens when I return on the 27th. I received some lovely mint green serving plates which match my china pattern (no husband but you can bet I have china) My mom also gave me this incredible Art Deco coffee pot which I will serve hot chocolate from. For Christmas I'm bringing my mom to Hawaii with me and she will receive treatment that she has only fantasized about. She's a hard-working Mum and deserves to feel like a tropical queen. I was planning to answer a few posts tonight but my glass of champagne has made that quite difficult and Nigella Bites is on which is my second favorite cable show. Good Night Everyone. Big Grin

…and your Mom. Sounds like you had a wonderful day. And please express our thanks to her for raising such a great kid. I hope she enjoys her stay in the Apple and you get a chance to see the sights with her. Are you taking her to see the recently opened Museum of xeS (intentionally misspelled into order to spare the sensitivities of the website)? Wink

Samantha and Everyone on the board...

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. I'm sitting in bed at my laptop and listening to the RAIN, yes RAIN, outside my window. Who would have thought living in Las Vegas that you would have pouring rain ALL day on Christmas. We weren't even able to turn on our Christmas lights. They actually thought it was going to SNOW here like it did last week but no such luck. Oh well. Better luck next year I guess.

Sam,

I'm glad you had a great christmas, after dinner we watched the Walt Disney World Holiday Special, the whole family, the first time in a while that the whole family was together. I have to say that we all enjoyed it, not only did we learn a lot but it was funny. My sister and I (who are BIG fans of the show) wonder, when you are with people and having fun at the parks do you ever forget that the cameras are on you? Well have a good night and hopefully hear from you again.

Hello Samantha!

I have admired your shows for sometime now and I must say U put a definate Perky twist too entertianment television. I do have a question though? How do U stay in such great shape, while indulging in the first class colonary eateries that U and your crew must enjoy.

And as a Fan is it safe to say that U will be graceing us with your show for quite some time or are U bound by Contract and rateing results? Thanks Lifes-Fun Smile
