Hi Sam!

My friend said that you are not dubbed in Taiwan. There is subtitle though because only a few are able to speak and understand English in Taiwan. I asked her how the Taiwanese calls you or say your name. I was wondering if they gave you a mandarin name. She said she did not notice. We will try to find that out. Let you know on your next forum. You need to know how they call your name otherwise you may not recognize that they are calling you when you are there one day. And they might start saying "I thought she was a nice lady but she is ignoring our call..." Big Grin

Thanks for the picture! Looking forward to receiving it in my Inbox.

I guess this is bye for now. Take care! Always remember that a lot of people in Asia loves you and are faithfully watching your shows. I appreciate your replies. Am looking forward to reading more details of your love story with Kevin. I am not yet satisfied with what you've written so far. Please tell us more. I wish you a good marriage and lots of little Samantha too!

Hi Samantha! I recently discovered your show during all of our Disney planning...and I think you have the most perfect job EVER...and I can't even be jealous because you are so completely adorable. My kids and I watch your show together, as a matter of fact, we all do, my husband included. What do you think..we have only 2 full Disneyworld days before our Disney cruise..should we go with Disney's Animal Kingdom or the Wilderness Lodge? We already experienced the Polynesian and the Beach Club..we are looking to try something a little different!! We have 2 girls, 11 and 9, and my little guy, age 6...what do you think? I would be so honored to have your response..we might just print it out and hang it! We love you!

Sam,
I simply MUST apologize to you tho, and wish you every happiness in the world on your impending nuptials. I, of course, believe that you have found Mr. Perfect and will have a truly blessed marriage. As for kids-- Don't let me scare you on that either -- ours are unmedicated ADHD/LDs and this house <phew> .... well, we're in court with the 15 y/o this morning..... I'm sure you and your sisters were MUUCH better than my kids, and that's what counts. Mothering is like walking-- you put one foot in front of the other.... what happens, happens. We ARE women. We just KNOW HOW. Generally anyhow.

Hubby announced today that he and I will be taking a brief respite at Turning Stone Casino in the next few months. Yes, he will be playing Bingo and a little light gambling.... I'm starting to save pennies already for a grand day in the spa! The pics online look lavish and I'm dying for a wrap, facial, and massage.... if the budget can stretch that far. It's a tad extravagant, wouldn't you say? Yes, I know, I know-- I deserve it. Heck, I deserve an entire week of it! <sigh> We do Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino annually as well. Lovely. Even took the brats, uh, I mean the children (I really do love 'em, usually) and stayed at the Niagara Falls Hilton a year or so ago, took boat under the falls, etc., and had a lovely time of it. I fed them desert as we watched the fireworks froms the top floor dining room (20-something, 30-something-th floor?) after they had run up a bloody $100 bill-- my son's big eating again-- but he's always had an amazing body that I've wanted to sculpt since he was a toddler. The evening was lovely. -- Hubby won't do elevators, lol. Claustraphobia. On the ambulance I used to have to take the patients up in the elevators alone while he ran up the stairs, LOL.

Big crabby, lazy hubby's other personality is rather personable and the nurses were always falling all over him. I think that's why they take such a dislike for me, LOL-- ROTFLMAO-- you have no idea. I got him, they didn't!! He will absolutely die for your smakaroo... in fact I'll print it or he'll never believe me. No wait, I can't. I said "don't marry." Confused He thinks you will look nice with dark hair and I've yet to see it-- 55º temps today sent me scrambling to the yard gardening for the opportunity, missing your shows-- no wait, I saw Great Hotels-- Island off Miami (?) coast.... (memory lost with The [premature] Change of Life <shrug>Wink. I'm sorry-- I roared at you for your comment from the jacuzzi tub about the "mis-directed" water jet....<omigosh!!!> Was this all today? Sam, hubby's amazing, a mind like a cop's-- he's not but there are a bunch in the family. He ALWAYS notices when you've gained or lost weight. I sit there squinting-- what IS he seeing? But get my hair cut? Nope. Not a clue. Of course <embarrassed> he recently shaved off his beard and when he finally said something he said he shaved it off two weeks earlier.... <shrUUg> He enjoys you very much and when I turn the show on, he always comes in and watches too. <feather in your cap>

Personal fav that I miss the most from my life: Denver's 94th Aero Squadron. I used to live nearby in my post-Army days. It's gone, as am I.... Long ago....far away.....oh well. I see I've rambled, per norm. I will keep you in my prayers-- I have to now that you personally responded to me. Smile God bless you Sam and happy trails! Stay safe, eh?

Ms Taborri,
What a delight you are. I loved the Don't Marry. I have put if off now for many many years and believe I think I've got the right guy or at least the one who can put up with me. As for kids-I don't know how you do it, how mothers in general manage it. It's the ultimate in life isn't it? However i know for a fact my parents wanted to sell us when me and my sisters reached 13. The story of your son wanting to continue on even though he was sick was too adorable-but then again he had a pail with him so....it seems though even you don't get to travel much now your life is filled with adventure. It was a pleasure hearing from you and give your crabby husband a big smakaroo on the cheek for me...that really get'em doesn't it?

A quick PS Sam-- I sang with my choir in London, Ontario, Canada recently. I choose to stay at the Delta Armouries Hotel. It was absolutely lovely and I loved my very comfy, well appointed room. I was treated like a queen in the dining room. My only regret was that I didn't purchase the thiiick comfy white terry robe that is in your room. I haven't found one like it since, and hubby wants one too. Blessings!

Hi Sam,

Thought I would get one more post out before the close of the forum tomorrow (most likely while I'm at work since I'm three hours behind you here in California). Just couldn't let you slip away without adding my congratulations to the out pouring from the rest of your fans. May the joy you and Kevin feel today as you make plans for your future together last a lifetime.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you somehow manage to pull off a New England wedding. Should the two of you decide to head West to celebrate an anniversary in the coming years, I have a Canadian recommendation for you. Sooke Harbour House in Sooke, British Columbia. Our stay there was the highlight of our trip I spoke about earlier. Seldom does a person find a glorious meal, peace and quiet, and a room with a view in the same place. They have most attentive staff I have ever come in contact with, and what is generally regarded as one of the finest dining establishments in Western Canada. Each of the thirteen rooms has a breath taking view of the water. There are no televisions in the rooms, but there is quite a nice library on the second floor to peruse. To be honest, it's a place to go to just enjoy each other's company and remember what the special attributes were in each partner that drew you together. At least that's how it worked for us.

I look forward to the rest of Passport Season Two as I armchair travel through Europe with my favorite guide.

I will remain forever in your debt for being the source of some great friendships that have been forged through the common bond of being Fans of Sam.

Shine on and continue to be the special lady you are.

Carol

I almost forgot! My rescued orange tabby is named Tellie (short for Chantelle). The gray and white kitty we retrieved from an office complex is Gypsy.

I know you said you will start taping the 2nd half in March- how long does the taping go for? How many eps will that be for?

I assume you won't be back to the forums until after taping is wrapped- right?
Will you know by then what is next for you when it comes to a show?

Look forward to it- best of luck and can't wait to hear and see more!

SAMANTHA! Oh wow it's been so long. I haven't spoken (typed) with you (or seen you on your show) since last year! I don't know how I've made it this long! Wink I moved into a new apt that's a little expensive and I can't afford cable. Frown Maybe I'll move to a cheaper place so I can watch you again.

I hope all is well with you. I saw a couple Passport to Europes and it looked like fun. I hope to see more someday after I get a raise. haha Do you have any DVD collections of your show available or in the making? That would be awesome!

Well, I'll let you back to your business. So nice to talk to you again. Last time I posted, I requested an autographed picture. You said you would email it to me, but for whatever reason I never got an email. If you could please email me again, my email address is mr.stoopid@sbcglobal.net. I would SO appreciate an autographed picture of you! Smile Smile Smile

Talk to you next time! ~ k

Hi Samantha,
I never had the opportunity to chat with you before but I am a faithful watcher of all your shows. I was listening to Greg and the Morning Buzz a few monthes ago and they said that you were going to be an interview guest - I seriously thought about calling in sick to work so I could listen but alas I am never sick. I hope those guys weren't too rough on you. I'm a travel agent and used to work with Kelly Brown's wife and I know that he is a huge fan of yours so I assume they were on their best behavior.
Congrats on the engagement and best of luck with your upcoming travels.

Sam, all of us are so excited for you and your engagement! How about taking him along for the shows so that we can all gawk at the lucky guy who won your heart! He was great on the cruise special...the camera loves him! I noticed him even before you let the cat out of the bag in a previous post. You are the most gorgeous woman on television and it is a pure joy to see you every day!! I first saw you when I was staying at the lovely Wanda Inn in Carolina Beach, NC and even at such a gorgeous vacation spot I was jealous of your amazing travels! But the best part about your shows is definitely you and your wonderful smile and personality! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for blessing my life with yours. We look forward to watching you for years to come! Tim a.k.a. the #1 Brownhead (after your man and your mama of course!!)

Hi Sam!

I hope you get this. Ironically, I'm not much of a traveler but everytime you respond here I'm away on vacation! I always come back to find out you were here. I sent Travel Channel the cartoon picture of you a fews years ago. It seems so long now. Thank you so much for the photo, I was suprised to get it my e-mail (actually some fun mail). I did another pic for you a few months back but I lost the Travel Channel address. So I hope you get it through hereSmile Here's the link: http://www.deviantart.com/view/25455475/

Travel channel sent me a crew shirt a while ago when I sent in a fan letter about Great Hotels, and when I went on vacation with my parents I wore it to a bunch of the hotels we stopped by (Hotel del Coronado, Disney's Grand Californian, and somewhere else...) Now I'm going to Madrid in April and I have to make sure I get a picture there with it on too. When is travel channel going to release a DVD with Passport to Europe? And CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement!Big Grin Where are you thinking of having the wedding? I saw you were doubting it will be in New England...

Is there any chance I could get an autograph? I would really love it:) novellineart@yahoo.com

Happy new year 2006! I love your shows and CONGRATULATIONS again!!

Hey, fellow Shawn Cassidy lovin' sister! (but as we both know - Alan Rickman is more crush-worthy)

I've said it before and I'll post it here publicly again so all can drool - - Reading, PA's $3.99 all you can eat Pizza Buffet rocks! Doesn't anyone else have this anywhere? It's called Infinitos. (plus Pastas/Salads too) Quite a tasty deal. Has your mom checked it out yet? Next time you're in town, give me a call and we'll take mom there Smile
I enjoy reading all these posts and will catch up while I do lunch here. I had to get a chapter off to a publisher for a new self-help book written by myself and other self-help experts that is coming out soon. "101 Ways to Improve Your Life" Should be a terrific resource; I'm excited about it Cool If anyone's interested, u can Google me. I also just sent 5 articles off to magazines, and now finally got back to my passion of screenwriting. I still have those connections from back during my old Saturday Night Live days we talked about many moons ago. (That was around the same time I was moving those refrigerator magnets around at CBS on the set of your friend's soap, As the World Turns!) I'll have to see where I want this all to go. I've been out to LA a few times working, and there is definitely more opportunity, not to mention the sunshine, warmth, and palm trees. But, yes, Reading, has it's shining spots too, besides our mommies! If you have not ever been to the Oley Turnpike Dairy, you need to go there as well. The ice cream is made right there so it's really thick, creamy and fresh. Plus unique flavors. And out back is a petting zoo with adorable, tame animals you can feed. Some exotics too. They do really neat things in the fall too with hayrides, corn mazes, pumpkin patches...it's really a sweet spot here. OK, signing off for now - Happy 2006 to all, and to all a good bye. Many more congrats and blessings on your engagement. Hope we can finally meet here someday soon.
Luv ya,
Reading-sister Kathy

Hi Samantha,
I just have to start off by saying my husband and I have become addicted to your shows and we are absolutely loving Passport to Europe. After the P to E marathon on Dec 29th, my hubby decided that we just had to go to England and we booked a trip. We are going in two weeks!!! After a few days in London, we will be renting a car and hitting the countyside, staying a night in Thornbury Castle. I was just wondering how it was driving in England? We are used to NYC driving, but I heard the M4 is horrible and am a little nervous about the right hand drive.

I just found this message board, and had to leave a message! I recently discovered Passport to Europe (don't have much time to watch tv), and I LOVE IT! I had the chance to go to Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia) for two months about a year and a half ago, and went to Prague..and now all I dream about is going back to Europe (i caught the bug to travel)! I watch Passport to Europe during my lunch breaks which totally makes my afternoon! I just graduated from college, and now that I have a real job its great to get to relax and "travel" to all those places with you... Thanks for traveling to all the places I can't get too, I so just apreciate your enthusiasm for enjoying life and all kinds of new places!

WIND AND WINDOW FLOWER

Lovers, forget your love,
And list to the love of these,
She a window flower,
And he a winter breeze.

When the frosty window veil
Was melted down at noon,
And the caged yellow bird
Hung over her in tune,

He marked her through the pane,
He could not help but mark,
And only passed her by
To come again at dark.

He was a winter wind,
Concerned with ice and snow,
Dead weeds and unmated birds,
And little of love could know.

But he sighed upon the sill,
He gave the sash a shake,
As witness all within
Who lay that night awake.

Perchance he half prevailed
To win her for the flight
From the firelit looking-glass
And warm stove-window light.

But the flower leaned aside
And thought of naught to say,
And morning found the breeze
A hundred miles away.

MOON COMPASSES

I stole forth dimly in the dripping pause
Between two downpours to see what there was.
And a masked moon had spread down compass rays
To a cone mountain in the midnight haze,

As if the final estimate were hers;
And as it measured in her calipers,
The mountain stood exalted in its place.
So love will take between the hands a face….

TO EARTHWARD

Love at the lips was touch
As sweet as I could bear;
And once that seemed too much;
I lived on air

Mother O

Your reception was at Fosters, what a great idea! It is a huge disappointment that I can't plan the wedding in Portsmouth NH. Everything is booked and I don't want to wait 2 years to get married. I see that your son has chosen some very unconventional destinations for a Honeymoon-good for him. We are also thinking about a place that could offer equal amounts culture and luxury oh, and food of course! We haven't even begun to nail down places but it's interesting as the whole world has opened up and we would like to take advantage of it. I love the Brownheads! and now that title has extra meaning since I have gone back to being actually a brown head. Thank-you for keep coming back to this forum and all that you contribute to making sure I know my fans are still out there even when I am far, far away. You're a joy, Mother O
Take Care,

Father O

I was wondering when I would hear from you! I always bring back olive oil and the 20 dollar savings makes it well worth its weight I end up lugging for the rest of the trip. That is exactly my technique for securing O.O and wine-wrap in big sweater place in middle. After seven years of traveling nothing has ever broken in my luggage (knock on wood)

Foods I miss the most. Sushi, Brothy homemade soups and big entree salads. I'm having the last two for lunch right now. I had Flo's about three weeks ago-wonderful as usual-and picked up a couple of jars. At my cocktail hour i will be having the caterers pass pigs in a blanket with the Flo's dipping sauce. How's that for a personal touch?

I'm with you on more Eastern Europe. I still have so many misconceptions it would be great to visit and do away with them once and for all.

Until Next time,
Samantha

Kelly,

You know I didn't have to look it up! My memory never ceases to amaze me-it's terrible I have no long term memory but for some strange reason I can write down the longest word in english as well as Hawai'i's state fish. go figure. I will have to get from you next time how you approach dogs and cats when they are scared. You obviously run the risk of being attacked. What you do is incredible Kelly I'm so glad there are people like you who are willing to go where most people don't want to to help those that need it most. I wouldn't last a day in your position.

Yeah, I was happy to see ol'Father O as well-very flattered I should say. Mom's doing well tell your mother I said hello and that I'm thinking about her.

Lifehouse huh? don't know them but I'll pick them up.

take care Kell Smile

I'm so flattered by the fact that your whole family can sit down and watch me. What a great vacation you are planning. Wilderness Lodge or AKL-oooh, that's a toughie. I would have to go with AKL. I find the experience of waking up and seeing Zebra's and Giraffe's eating breakfast just amazing. I think I have stayed there three times now. Thanks for taking the time to write.

mjpetrula,

nice now try to get your husband to watch Greece and Italy! I had no problems with driving in England in fact i really loved it. Its toughest when you have just landed after an overnight flight and your suffering from jetlag so I would just practice a bit before you hit the roads (maybe hit was the wrong word to use)

Au Revoir! Arrivederci! Adios!

Where has the week gone? It just went so fast. Eek I had a fantastic time-I always do but particulary this go around because I feel like I hadn't talked to you all in so long. Being here I realize how much I've come to rely on and look forward to these wonderful get togethers. It was also very satisfying to see some new faces out there so on behalf of all the old timers WELCOME! and make yourself comfortable. When I am away I love visiting and seeing what is up with the BROWNHEADS and to learn from Capt tuttle and IntlDoc's well written observations and musings on life. I think the Samapolouza party Mother O threw was a complete succes. Razz

We leave for round two in the middle of March and will continue to travel until the end of June (with breaks in between) So Capt you know when to start those message in a bottle letters. Wink

Take care everyone and once again thank you so much for taking the time to watch my shows and being apart of this wildly successful fansite!

Sincerely,
Samantha

A PLEASANT SURPRISE FOR A SUNNY FRIDAY! Razz

Hey again, one more time, Lady Samantha!

Thought mod_ben would have closed the chat by now, but glad it's still open today so that you can reply to posts that you weren't able to reply to in the last couple of days, Samantha.

In all of the letters and packages I've sent you and all of the posts on-line, I've only asked for a autographed photo one time, but have never received one yet, so I'd like to also ask you again here, Sammy, for one of those available from your fresh batch. Here's my email address again: lifeinchrist75@truevine.net, and you should have, if you've kept it, my home address from the various mail I've sent you. It's still the same.

So your Mom and Dad were and are "jazz buffs"? That's cool! I like jazz, too! Glenn Miller's band, of course, has its own version of "Take the A Train" that's one of my favorite tunes by them.

Well, I'll say goodbye for now, and keep in touch with ya, and now Kevin, too, from time to time, by mail and on the different forums here.

Don't be a stranger, Lady Samantha! (I know you won't)
