I love that state the air really is something else. I've got your email address and a pic will be arriving shortly. Thanks for taking the time to write. I really appreciate it.

Hi Samantha,
I'm looking forward to your new season of Great Hotels. I love your new "Sam the Jet Setter" look, but I also miss the "Adorable and Playful Hooded pullover and khaki shorts Sam" from Great Vacation Homes. Keep that part of personality in your show. I love the outfit you wear when you shoot pool on Great Hotels. Very sexy and confident.
Concerning "Beach Week".
WOW! Love the promo! You look so fine in a Bikini! As I'm trying to pop my eyeballs back into their sockets, I'm thinking great Samantha Brown in a bikini all week on Beach Week on the Travel Channel! Then boom, It's bait and switch.
It was really disappointing that your just their to introduce Angela Landry? Now, I'm sure Angela is a very good hostess with big assets, but she is not you. I bet alot of your other fans are disappointed as well. I know your busy with Great Hotels, it's just well, I'd much rather watch you in a bikini than Angela. You are definitely more enteraining and sexier!
The last message I sent, I was asking about the Ford Mustangs that you used on the show. You replied with the story of how your Dad pretended to be interested in buying a Mustang from a guy you wanted to meet. Thanks for sharing that. I have a daughter who is eleven going on eighteen. We have a good father/daughter relationship, but I'm already dreading her dating years. As a father, I'm curious-When you were dating, Did you respect your father's "dating rules"?
I'm curious as to what to expect as my daughter grows older.

Hey Sam,

It's Tristen again. First off - hotel recommendation: The Charles Street Inn. I've heard it's beautiful and, since I can't even get close to justifying spending the money to stay there, YOU can do a show about it so I can see the inside!! The other hotel I would recommend is the Omni Parker House.

The other reason I wanted to write was because I read, somewhere in one of the forums, of your mom's struggle with (and recovery from) cancer. I'm glad to hear everything is going better for her now - please send along a hello from my mom (and me).

Lastly, when you do get to the Boston area, please look me up - if you have time. It would be fun to catch up!

Hi Sam,

I hope its not too late for me to respond to your answer to my message. Confused
Thanks for the info I will definatly look into those ideas. But you noted that in San Antonio to check out the Hotel San Jose? I looked on both the website and I have a Texas book of hotels and there is no mention of this hotel in San Antonio. Would you know if they have a website? Also is this hotel near Riverwalk? I just found out today that this is where my parents decided on stopping at in San Antonio.

Also I thought I would mention a resort GH may want to look into. Its on Captiva Island in Florida. Its north of where Naples is. You may want to check out the South Seas Plantation Resort on Captiva or maybe one of the resorts on Sanibel Island {its right next to Captiva}. And I know how much you like to eat Big Grin {lol} so you may want to check out the Bubble Room on Captiva Island as well. There food portions are huge and wait til you see the desert! I was just there 2 weeks ago myself.
Thanks for responding to my ? I didnt think that you really would. Smile

Thanks Again,
Stacy

Hi, Sammy! Big Grin

Great to see you back, sorry I haven't jumped in sooner, but hey, life n stuff.

Alas, I see that the itinerary you posted for the new season does not include a visit to Wisconsin. <sigh> Oh, well. Season 4? Please?

I also see you mentioned Christmas at Disney World. I'm guessing you'll be there sometime in December then? I am tentatively planning a Disney getaway with my Mom and my brother for later this year (sadly courtesy of my Grandmother who just passed away, whom we often visited in Florida when we were kids), but we don't know when. Perhaps we can now narrow down our travel dates? Hmmmm? ;-)

I for one won't miss the check-ins on Great Hotels. They always felt very staged, and didn't really seem to serve a purpose. "Oh, so that's what one does at a check-in counter... you check in." That means more time for lookin' around n' stuff.

And not to make you feel embarassed or anything, but regarding those Beach Week promos... Who needs Ali Landry, when we've got Samantha Brown! Yay!

Speaking of travel programs, forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but it's late and I'm sleepy. But have you ever watched any of Michael Palin's travel shows? "Around the World in 80 Days", "Pole to Pole", "Full Circle", "Hemingway Adventure", or the recently-aired "Sahara"? Great stuff. And I can't help but wonder how a show pairing you and Michael would turn out. It'd be a winner, that's for sure! But I'm curious how you imagine you'd cope with some of the very strange accomodations Michael ends up in... huts, tents, dhows, etc.

OK, I'm sleepy, gotta get to bed. Thanks again for taking the time to chat with us fans, the wacky Samanthaholics that we are. Big Grin Take care, now!

it figures that your a python fan. Do you know which episode featured a character with my screen name? Anyway, your the best though I'm not sure that it is a good thing that I now notice the apolstry of hotel room chairs just before I cover them with dirty ah, er, clothes. I'm glad to hear that your hitting the west national parks this year. i make several trips to them each year. Glacier NP in Montana is my favorite. I've never ridden a bike across the GTTSR but I've hiked and photographed most of the trails (www.synergymedia.com). I've spent a week there every year since 94. If you plan on going there, I can give you the scoop. I usually stay in a small cabin that is used primarily as a camera storage and cleaning area-- probably not up to Samantha Brown standards.

I did stay at the nearby Many Glacier Hotel last year and it has one of the best views you'll ever see right from your balcony and there is a bar downstairs-- stay away from the bar at the entrance to Many Glacier unless you want to risk having your name put on the blackboard of "people banned for fighting". Rough crowd.

hey you should go to the Canadain Rockies Too. there's plenty of hoity-toity places to stay but my favorite is Num-ti-Jah lodge on Bow lake. there are only about 20 rooms, no phones, great views nearby hiking and library with a huge fireplace to hang out in. I think the room you want is 24 or 25 to get the best room. You'll like it, there is no elevator and you have to walk up 3 or 4 flights at elev. 6400. of course the crew will have to carry stuff the same rickety narrow stairs.

Oh yeah, I was quite impressed that you climbed up the hard part of that 3 story wall. Cute funny and athletic, wow!!

Just in case someone's still checking, the best hotel to do on the Outer Banks would be the Sanderling Inn in Duck. There's also a great restuarant just down the island in Colington called the Colington Cafe--it's an old house with tables set up in several rooms.

As for Santa Fe, the Inn at Loretto (next to the church with the Miracle Staircase) and the Bishop's Lodge would make great shows--and could be combined into a two-for-one. They each have interesting and unusual attractions on-site as well. And for a truly great meal, Sam should go to Geronimo's and have the elk tenderloin!

Does anyone know which episodes from last season were submitted to the Emmy judges for consideration? Just wondering; congratulations on the nomination!

Sam,

Hi there. I love your show. My husband and I try to watch it every day at 12. I think that it is so great that you correspond with your fans. Instead of going to the Outer Banks of NC, you should come to Charlotte. Than I could meet you Smile I don't know if you are still sending out autographed pictures but if you are I would like to get one for my husband. My email is mandastanchek@netscape.net When you email me I will respond with my address. Thank you so much and keep up the wonderful work Smile

Thanks for your kind words about me and Beach Week but I'm no Ali Landry. And Travel Channel needs some new blood. As for your question of whether or not I obeyed my fathers rules on dating ABSOLUTELY. I NEVER dated older boys, NEVER snuck out of the house NEVER told my parents I was at my friends house. And that's why I have this amazing job I have today-by always listening to my father (who, by the way is probably reading this right now.) Good-luck

Hey There! When we come to Boston I will definately look you up. I believe you said you were in the phone book-is that the Boston area and is it your maiden name? I will definately tell my mom that you and your mom wish her well. She was so excited when I told her you had gotten ahold of me. I'll call you as soon as I know. Take care

I'm such a dunce! Hotel San Jose is in Austin not San Antonio. I'm not sure what was happening in my brain there. In San Antonio you have to go to the Big indoor rodeo/dance hall. I forget what it's called but everyone will know, it's very popular. You can even ride a mechanical bull. sorry for the mix-up.

Well I'm glad you found and enjoy the show. It's an absolute blast to be apart of and I certainly can understand why you would want to do it yourself. Basically, I'm an actress that auditioned to be a host on the Travel Channel and got the job. I went to school for Musical Theatre which means I took classes in Acting, singing and Dancing. Good luck in your career.

I think we'll be in Disney around the middle to end of November. I really would like to get my hands on those travel specials Michael Palin does. I've heard they are just hysterical yet very informative. Then I could steal all his material. Wink

I don't believe i do. I would really love to go to National Glaciers park especially if I could do a bike tour. I'll try to stay out of the rough bars. I don't want to hurt anybody. Wink
