I wrote this to "rscamp" and it still goes

ABSOLUTELY NO CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES! There my weakness. It's so bad that I even have to turn off the food channel if they are baking them on one of their shows. actually even talking about them now......

Don't worry there's no rush on hotel info seeing that Great Hotels will be on a year hiatus. Please do send your information to PineRidge Film and Television out of Jacksonville Florida because they are always on the look out for a great hotel Smile

Lodging management is a class in high school? That's fantastic! I'm not apart of the planning sessions so I don't know if it was ever considered. What are some of the hotels and things to do that your students would recommend? And what are some of their favorite hotels from the series? I'd love to know.

yes, Colin Firth is a delight. I aquired my crush on him during Bridget Jones and it shows no signs of letting up. Thank-you for your wonderful description of your California walks. The weather out here in Northeast has been downright depressing. Lilacs are by far one of my favorite flowers. It's such a shame they bloom for only two weeks. Seeing that your weather is so wonderful I would much prefer to send myself as opposed to a picture Big Grin

Gee Sam I am sorry. I didn't mean to start a whole thing by offering you the cookie recipe. Since you said I could get a signed pic I just wanted to give you something in return. It never occurred to me that everybody would be doing the same. So I will just sit here, read the posts and try not to stir up any more trouble. Roll Eyes

Hi everyone! Just returned from the beach and atlantic ave- fun place. It seems sam stopped by, shame I missed it. Ah well, Im sure she'll find time to address me (and some of the rest of the regulars) in the next post, but its a good thing that she talked to some new people.. and found that friend from middle school..how funny is that!
Milnemgal- Sam is indeed a wonderful show host! I beleive that GVH (great vacation homes) was taken off air sometime last year along with famous homes and hideaways (another one i liked, but not as good as sam shows) and girl meets hawaii. About the show being cancelled, its not. They're putting it off for a year or two well sam does a show about europe. Go her! And stick around in the Samantha Centeral and Great hotels forums when Talk to Samantha forum is over- we'd love to have you!
To Rscampb- I think sam was making a joke- nothing to be alarmed about. She seems to have a weakness for sweets. Perhaps that why she hasn't set up a fanmail PO box- shed get far to many chocolate cookies along with other things that would make her gorgeous figute melt away. Please dont take a vow of silence like that, the forum is definately follows the more the marrier montre, so help us make it marrier. PS (maybe after sam is gone that recipe could appear in a different forum- what can I say I love to cook?) Anyway nice meeting you!
Okay everyone have a great day (it seems to be a bit odd in this forum today- captttuttle hasnt posted- where are you!we need some comic relieif)Austin

One weekend in early March, my sons and their girlfriends were home, and we all got involved in a heated game of Cranium, playing as teams. At a critical point, Father Orange and I got the following True/False question:
"If you were lost in the Sonoran desert, the chewed pulp of the Saguaro cactus would be an excellent water source."
Into my head sprung a replay of Samantha Brown in an Arizona Great Hotels episode, chewing like a trooper on watery cactus pulp, and it was NOT from a Saguaro. So I confidently answered "False," and the parental unit emerged victorious! And that is why I must jump in here (though I admit I jump in too often) and thank you for being so darned educational. And I will be the first to volunteer to assist the crafty ferretpossum in toiletpapering the houses of the members of the academy for missing the Samantha best-host boat again. It does seem like the mature and logical thing to do. So nice to see that chap back on the forum!
Now may I point out that Emeril puts on a white coat in a studio, throws some stuff in a hot pan and says "Bam."
You don't see Emeril trekking out into a sweltering desert to eat cactus pulp, or risking life and limb on a hike to Kapolua Falls. And he sure doesn't dress up like a Rockette and do the high kicks. But you do, Sam, and we appreciate this wonderful "service" you give to us. Taking us away from our dull daily lives is a pretty big thing, and don't you forget it! You have worked so very hard to get this far in a tough business. We thank you for taking us with you to so many nice places, and let's not forget to mention that extra cranberry thingy you ordered at the Wauwinet for your tag-along viewers.
Spurred by a recent post, I just have to ask one more thing. My boys and I watched "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" way too many times back in the 80's, and I fondly recall one Saturday morning when we got dressed up as Pee Wee lookalikes for a contest at Kiddie City on Erie Blvd. One had his nose stuck up with scotch tape and the other did the biker bar scene, dancing up on the table to "Tequila." Despite the stellar effort, they lost, but as I recall, the $100 prize winner was a female Syracuse University college student in a grey suit. Is there any possibility it could have been YOU? The year would be right, and I have a gut feeling I know you from some place...
(and to debandgary, yes, the kids both lost their adenoids and had 7 sets of tubes, so relax, yours will recover just fine and be in good shape for an Orlando trip) Oh, Sam, since the recipes are flying at you, just want you to know that tonight I am having a hot dog on a New England roll, covered with my husband's specially concocted brown relishy sauce and a line of mayo, as usually found up on the northern parts of Route 1, if you know what I mean...
No need for another response here, (I've had more than my fair share) unless of course you were Pee Wee. I'd have to know. Mother Orange

Hi Sam,

You won't believe this, but I was watching today's episode (while waiting to shuffle items from the washer to the dryer), when I felt "led" to learn more about you. I asked my daughter if she would allow me to use my computer (she's a student with a lot of homework) so that I might be obedient to that which was unctioning me toward this site.

I have patiently plied my way through days of posts, not in any way expecting that you are actually at times available this week and ANSWERING your posts! How strange is that!?

I am absolutely shocked to discover that simply be being willing to respond when directed to do so, I seemingly have arrived at exactly the place to be able to speak with you! I am gobsmacked! ( a tip of the top to the Captain! )

I've become so enamored with your charm and wit, as well as your comfortably sweet style and transparency. Your beauty and personal grace is obvious to all those who post herein, so I'll not surprise anyone by simply giving public witness to my enjoyment at each televised appearing.

I am still stunned by the fact that less than three hours ago, I was "moved" to contact you, and now I have done so.

I will leave you with a thought for your next Hawaiian sky after nightfall...

I enjoy walking for a couple of hours alone at night (usually about 10:15 pm), so as to spend a bit of time with the One whom I believe I have been called to spend time with.

One evening, as I stepped from my porch, I felt the Spirit of God say to me, "Look up."

I looked up at a beautiful, brilliantly decorated late night sky and replied, "Ok, what are you going to show me?"

The Spirit said to me, "Do you know why there are stars?"

After a moment I confessed, "No, I really don't know why there are stars."

He said to me, "So that man will know... there's more."

Thank you Sam for the simple pleasures we've all had in watching you play your gifts before us. My best for your safe and profitable travels in Europe.

May your travels not end before you've seen all that's "more".

An appreciative fan in Illinois.

hi samantha,
a belated happy birthday to you! i hope you had a wonderful week Smile thank you for the warm wishes re: my upcoming destination wedding in hawaii. i really would love to stay at the halekulani as part of our honeymoon... and if we go to maui then we'll definitely consider the hotel hana maui as you suggested. my fiance and i just saw the america's best beach hotels special and loved every single place! i have to thank you for inspiring him to suggest that our honeymoon will continue well after our time in hawaii... we hope to have romantic getaways at pretty much all the beach hotels covered, but our favorites include: shutters on the beach, bacara, hotel del coronado, la playa and the don cesar.

just one question for you... what was your favorite amenity/activity in all the shows you've done? (seems like you had a blast horseback riding on the beach, paragliding and with the dolphin encounter.) thanks again for taking the time to reply and share with all of us! take care Smile

Stick around where when the forum is over (when)? I'm not sure I understand.
I see that you are going to CA? I just moved back to Scottsdale, AZ after 8 years in Monterey Bay. My sister and hub live in St. Helena in the Napa Valley. I can give you a lot of great places to go there! I love St. Helena. When are you going to be there and for how long?
Anyhow, thanks for the info and the welcome. When is the European show going to happen and is she moving there?
I just started French lessons last Tues. I am NOT going back to France until I can say more than "hello", "goodbye" and "check, please!!" (and until the Euro/dollar ratio improves dramatically!!)

milnemgal- On this sunday I beleive sam will exit from the forums for a while and this particular one titled talk to samantha will be closed. However, there are two other forums titled Great Hotels and Samantha centeral that alot of the members including my self post in. So when Mod_Kelly closes this forum, you should stick around and keep chating!. As for CA, I'm headed there for two weeks this summer- we're driving up highway one (i think thats it- the one that follows the coast). That's really cool that you live in that area. I was given a couple of hotels to look at that I liked- MacAurthur Place and the Kenwood inn. What do you think of those places? Are there any others to check out in the area besides those, Auberge du Soleil, Meadowood, and Hotel Healdsburg? Or any other hotels along that drive that you think are nice I would love to hear about too! For the European Adventure show, the first ep is 2005 I think, so its a while off. Also, thats funny that you're taking French, as thats what I happened to be taking as well. Just remember your verbs and their forms and you'll do fine. I still cant get my french teachers song out of my head- Je Vais, Tu vas, Il/Elle vont, Nous Avons, Vous Avez..enough of that LOL. Anyway, keep up the lessons and hopefully sam will get to talk to you soon (and beleive me, its so much fun when she does). Have a nice evening, Chicagoboy

I had to laugh. Two offers for chocolate chip cookies, one right after the other...the mental image of a prizefighting one-two punch to your willpower popped into my mind! Big Grin My mischevious side wonders what would happen if 20 people independently decided to send you care packages of CC cookies, Godiva gift boxes, well...you get the idea. The look of delighted horror on your face...thinking about it gives me the giggles! It probably already happens to you every Christmas.

You mentioned about 10 posts back that GH's hiatus will be lasting for a year. What do you plan on doing with yourself during that time? Rest and quality family & friends time for certain, but I got the idea that you might be trying something different (aside from the new European show). Do you have any plans to get back into stage acting on a limited basis? Perhaps occasional appearances on other shows?

Hey there. So does she post every so often or how does it work? I will stick around the forums for sure. Travel is one of my favorite things.
About your trip. Don't know where you are flying to- San Francisco? If you're starting down in San Jose, check out the boardwalk at Santa Cruz. (Actually I lived in that area, in Rio Del Mar). It's just over HWY 17. (That's if you have kids). Then you can drive all the way up to San Francisco on Hwy 1, and personally I feel that portion of the famed highway is even prettier than Big Sur. You will pass Pigeon Point lighthouse, worth stopping, and LOTS of photo ops. Check out Half Moon Bay on the way. In a little place called Princeville by the Sea, Barbara's Fish Trap (and basically it IS a "trap")has THE BEST fish fry you'll ever want to eat! Then up to the City <sigh> I'm getting nostalgic.......okay, okay, I digress.
You will end up taking 19th Avenue, right through the City, but it's not that bad. Just don't go during rush hour. Continue over the Golden Gate Bridge (if you're not stopping till later). Through Marin County you will want to take the exit that says Napa/Vallejo, then up 137 to 129 on up to the Valley.
Now about where to stay. Luckily, I stay at my sister's. BUT I do know a couple places you might really like. The Inn at Southbridge and also the Harvest Inn are both on Main Street, and walking distance to the darling Victorian town's shopping, etc. Summer you simply cannot pass up "Taylor's Refresher". Looks the same as it did 40 or so years ago- been there forever. But its the only "drive in" style place you will have California cuisine items. Unbelievable (and the shakes and malts ain't bad, either!). There's a TON of fabulous restaurants there. Mustard's Grill, down the hwy. a bit (toward Napa) is good. TraVigne - yum. If you like martinis, go down to Rutherford to the Rutherford Grille. They keep replacing your glass as you drink with a fresh frozen one. (Try their Mashed Potatoes Concannon and the chile corn bread). I'm getting hungry.......more later. LOL If you want to write me off the board I have lots of California places for you.

sandiegan- I made the hotwings tonite (with out fries- i cant eat all that) one word- MMMMMMMMMMMM.....beats almost every wing I've had. I must say that I wondered the same thing about the cookies and chocolates and such Funny stuff. Anyway, if you have anymore good recipies, feel free to look on the Sam Centeral forum for rscampb's post. ANyway, thanks for the recipie, and I encourage hot wing fans around the world to try 'em...
LindaSam's last posting session was late December so every few months is when she post's I assume. We're flying into San Diego, and then driving north. I will look up the places you suggested for for sure. As for the driving, those are some good tips (I always like what people tell me over mapquest- waaaaay more reliable. As for places to eat reccomendations are always useful. P.S. Im actually a good bit too young for the martini's, but I'll be sure to pass it on to my mom. Thanks again and now off to Starsky and Hutch- Good night to all...Austin

chicagoboy589, you didn't say how long you will be in San Diego, but if you have the time try the turkey dinner at Po' Folks in National City. It's not a 5 diamond restaurant but when I was stationed in SD that was a popular place. There is also a great place for Gyros in Horton Plaza (downtown) stay away from the California place on the roof (4 gyoza for $6 give me a break!).

Hi Sam,
Yes, Colin Firth was on SNL. I'm so sorry you missed him!Frown Just keep your eyes posted for repeats of SNL. I believe repeats start in May. He was hilarious!Big Grin You may or may not know this, but he was also in the movie Pride & Prejudice. He was also in a movie called, "Valmont" with Annette Benning!Smile I have to say he's one of my favorite actors too!Smile If you like Norah Jones' music, then you might want to tape that episode, because Norah Jones was the music guest when Colin Firth was doing the show!Wink I thought you might like to know that. I agree with you about chocolate chip cookies! Chocolate, the world's perfect food!Big Grin Did you know that calories don't count on your birthday, holidays, weekends, at a friend's house, or a friend's party (hee hee)?WinkCool I hope you have a great weekend Sam! Since you won't be on here for Easter, I wanted to wish you a Happy Easter!Big Grin Eat lots of candy. Remember it doesn't count since it's a holiday (I'm sticking to that statement). I'm happy to find out that your an Aries like me!Smile My birthday is April 14th. Have a great day Sam, and thanks for talking to us! Wink Smile Cool Big Grin

P.S. Would you like the receipe for, Mini-Cherry Cheesecakes?

Hi Chicagoboy589,
So what have you been up to lately?Confused Besides waiting for Spring Break? Me? Until I hear from the Grand Hotel people, I'm babysitting. That and I just got my first car, at 22 yrs. old.(almost 23). If I get the job at the Grand Hotel, I believe I'll start on June 8th, and work there until Sept 8th. A cousin of mine is getting married, get this, September 11th! I'm not joking. When do you plan to go to the Grand Hotel? Have a nice day! Smile

Hi Captuttle,
I must say you always express yourself very well, and it's always tastefully done too! There are not very many people who can do that! I applaude, and thank you for that!Smile Wink I was somewhat busy today, so I couldn't get back on here until 9:08pm. I hope you have "A top of the morning" type of day tomorrow!Smile

Hi Ferretpossom,
I agree with Chicagoboy589, because you make me laugh too!Big Grin I hope you visit these forums more often!Smile

I believe that will be all for tonight. I hope everyone has a wonderful, warm Spring day tomorrow!Big Grin

Thank you much for the reply Sam! I have been wondering something. When you are filming a scene where you are eating a meal, do you always eat the whole thing? They never show you have more than one bite. I know it is a stupid question but it was something I was wondering.

I would love to be able to have a job like yours. How did you get this job? Every time I watch Great Hotels, I always say to myself "I would absolutely love a job ike hers. She's so lucky". I have stayed at many hotels, mostly Disney World hotels, over the years and it would be so much fun to rate them to an audience. Would you want a sidekick? Just kidding.

Are you doing anymore Disney World hotels anytime soon? I am going to be there in August and I thought it would be so great if you were there filiming another episode. I would love to meet you. Hope to here from you soon.

Hi Sam,
I forgot to mention something. A while back, on the GH forum, I posted a message titled "Sam's Song." I wanted to know what everyone thought would be the perfect song for you. My choice was, "Roam Around The World" by the B-52s. After all, you do roam around the world. I thought you might like to know that. Have a great day!Cool

PS, you have missed lots of fab places in the Carolinas and Georgia! Smile

Hello dramaqueen!!I've saw that you noticed the post about recipies- post away! Anything reccomended by members of sams forum's cannot be bad! What have I been up to lately? Well, A day at the beach and a shopping area, followed by the exciting act of sorting through old tupperware to throw away (sound like fun eh? Big Grin), then an essay on Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. Its ironic how a female author who started the gothic literature movent kills all of the 3 women off in her novel (thats what the essay was about). Also saw Walking Tall with the Rock. Good movie, funny, actionish, a bit of steamy romance. Worth renting, but not paying $8.50 to see. We have the most amazing movie theatre down here- The Palace. Its been on all of the big news programs. Its got like 4 resturants, a childs play center, preimere level, arcade, valet and it looks somewhat like the Taj Mahal. As for my spring break it was actually the second to last week of march (early n'est pas?), thats when I went up to NYC. Babysitting isnt such a bad gig- you make them dinner, turn on a movie and walk away with $20. Sam herself once asked if anyone needed a babysitter at a hotel (a disney one i beleive). As for the car thing, I cant wait to receive my mom's 5 year old lexus SUV- COMPLETE WITH DENT she came in the door and told me I was getting a car. I may not have a licinse yet but Imagine the let down that came on when I saw that the rear door on the passangers side was barely hanging on. All I have to do is pay several hundred in repairs and its mine- I hope I get some big tippers at the new job- starting waiting at Cheesecake factory next month. That news about your cousin's wedding is interesting....a very somber day for a wedding. Ah well.. As for getting to the grand- who knows! I'd love to get up to the grand this summer- but at the same time I know that I have CA to visit and two weeks of debate camp...I wish the place was open year round. I can't wait for SNL tonite- THE Donald is hosting, that mans ego is bigger then his wallet Big Grin ! He is one amazing business man though, the Samantha of his perfession except male with a big ego and awful hair. But he is funny, talented in what he does, and really, really smart and fun to watch. Enough pointless rambaling- I must work on that essay. Good to hear from you, and Talk to ya tommarrow. Austin

Dear Sam,

Sunday morning, and if this is the last Samantha Day of this season's session, then let me sign on one more time as I'll be up shepherding and enlightening people all day, and again tomorrow.

For FerretPossum, it's quite easy and a pleasure to remember your charming forays onto Samantha's board and I hope you'll continue them from time to time. Actually the rest of us do not all know each other, although the trusty Kel has basked in Samantha's tea-infused presence only recently. But Ms. Brown would likely walk pertly right past me in the street (unless I tripped her, which I would never willingly do) without a moment's recognition. Different worlds, I'm afraid. But I will be back in the UK the last week of July and a bit into August, happily hunting down more ancient country houses, cornish pasties (mmm... cholesterol...) and Strongbow cider, plays (the Globe!), haunting used bookstores, and etc.

Kel, when a cat is standing over a (my) lilypond pawing uncertainly just above it, is it swatting at goldfish, its own reflection, or just being moronic? One neighborhood cat was doing just that the other day, and I'm leaning towards Moronic at present. I see your e-mail address posted, and will likely get in touch soon about e-sending a sample chapter or two. I'm too heartsick to mention basketball right now.

And Carol, now that your address is out there, I'll contact you soon as well about the novel, but then I won't be Capt. Tuttle anymore. There are certain quick but memorable scenes of favorite movies that stay with me for years, and the Edwardian lady slipping through the peaceful dusky garden in Howards End is one of them. One of the maybe three cinematic moments I love the most right now is in the aforementioned Shakespeare In Love, when the company is rehearsing Romeo & Juliet. The camera draws slowly from the stage into the shadows backstage, lovingly lingering upon the silhouetted figures first of a player juggling, then two others quietly practicing their fencing, like a silent ballet. Perhaps 3 magical seconds, but in that slip of time conveys a consuming love for theater and the stage that I can't match with words. Just wonderful. (Gosford Park and Roman Holiday have the others, but I'm babbling as it is.)

And Samantha -- who knows herself that feeling well -- you also know I (and Mother O as well) have for you at some later date English and European suggestions out the wazoo if you request it of us. Most of mine will be impractical, but one or two you may personally come to see and love yourself. And now you can be like Grace Kelly overlooking Monaco in To Catch A Thief, Kate Hepburn in Venice as in Summertime, Audrey Hepburn enchanting us in Roman Holiday (but perhaps not running for her life in Paris in Charade), and Emma Thompson floating across lush southern English lawns in Sense & Sensibility -- or lusciously tanned in Tuscany in Much Ado, come to think of it. All these things you can be very soon, and I hope you love it to excess.

But look - only 8.5 posts this time! I'm becoming quite the tamed and mature poster. And I saw a little of your Hawaiian Hour last night (where happy Ashley is right now), enough to see that you were heartstoppingly gorgeous all of three months ago. But, may I ask, did we also get to see your mom in that outrigger segment? If so, what a 2 seconds of fame. Well done, Maternal Unit! I hope you have many more hours of fame yourself, Samantha, and great luck and fun in, as Viola would say, your brave new world.

"Capt. Tuttle"

P.S. Tell Carmine to be careful with that photo. It's of a valuable person.

Yes, I've definately thought about putting Captuttle and Mother Orange on the payroll as "idea men" I will no doubt ask for their input when the time comes. You know, I've never pulled any April fools pranks on the crew because we always have this time of year off. But next year looks really good for some mischief Wink

Howards End is certainly one of my faves as well. especially that opening scene that Captuttle recapped so eloquently. If my trip to England doesn't look like all the Merchant Ivory films I've seen I will be so disappointed. When I went to Italy a few years ago I brought along my "Room with a View" soundtrack. It was perfect.

Hi Sam. Really loved your shows very much. You host it with a sense of humour but not as exaggerating. You say it with a sense of wittiness. And you also elude a sense of charisma. You are the best.

So will you be coming down to Singapore, the garden city?

Captain CaAAAAAAAAaAaA-ve Maaaan! Where are the laugh-Olympics when you need them? I don't beleive I told you that I tried your Zucchini and curry soup and it was fantastic! Although I wasn't able to finish it all so I put it in the fridge. I think it's still in there and I'm just very frightened to see what it has 'become'. I have thrown away so many perfectly good pieces of tupperware because I just can't deal with the contents. Hey tell Caro that another area she has to visit-for exceptionally cool clothes is the East Village. I was walking down East 6th street and there were a lot of delightful dress shops-vintage, new and two hat shops. Anyway, i thought about Caro right away. take care

Having you come all the way from Oregon to have coffee with me would be too much to ask. But very flattering that you would even consider such a trip. Now a picture sent all the way to Oregon would be absolutely no problem Big Grin

You did it! it worked! Now you tell me you love Barry Manilow but do you have cute little sox with his name written in red along the sides? Oh yes I own a pair and darn proud of it! When we are on the road shooting somedays my crew has "Barry Manilow Only" days in which every song we hum has to be one of his.

Thank-you for taking the time to share that with me. Humor is one of the most important things we have in life and I am always most flattered when people find me funny. A great joke you had in the end there so it sounds like things are going much better. Smile

Thank you for watching the show and most of all coming on line to tell me. Working on Great Hotels certainly provides us with the best of shooting conditions. Although, this year in particular we had terrible weather in the tropics. No matter where we were Florida, the Keys or Hawaii. I have now swam with Dolphins twice and a "Wolphin" once-certainly a highlight of mine. I have taken hula lessons on camera now...mmmmmm...maybe 5 times. I'll be ready to compete in no time.

I think that was it for our trip to Savanah. What a beautiful city you go to school in. Which I remember walking by often to go to a little coffee shop accross the street. Just give me your email address for the picture Big Grin

Look at it this way Now Nicole Kidman and I have something in common. IGNORED BY THE ACADEMY! Wink

isn't ferretpossum's website a riot? I Love how real and flawed and funny they make traveling. Which it is. I hope to incorporate some of that realness in the European series.

I think my bio is on this site somewhere. When you google me only 3 of the 1,200 sites are me. I think there is a cat named Samantha Brown who has here own web site. I like your log in name, very clever. Unfortunately I wasn't clever enough to catch it on my own so thanks for pointing it out.

I am a mother of three children and a wife of one child (I mean husband-heehee!) and also hold a full time job and I know how busy my life is. I can't help but wonder how you find the time in all the traveling and filming to workout and keep your figure so trim?

Also, I see your mother is here in Pennsylvania. That is where I am from. I live in a small town called Newville, just outside of Carlisle. I was wondering what town your mother resides in? In she near me?

Also, I can't help but throw in one of those fan statements, sorry, but here it goes. My husband and I watch Great Hotels quite often, when we can and he thinks it's funny when I crack up at your so called dry humor. I find it absolutely funny! But at the same time, he also says I carry a lot of the same dry humor that you do. We are planning a vacation this summer to Ocean City, Maryland. We are going to find a hotel along the ocean (any suggestions?) overlooking the water. I told him that when we get to our room, I am going to walk into the hotel and the room and have him film me with our camcorder, while I act like the host of Great Hotels!!!!

Hope to hear from you sometime, this is the first time I have ever been able to get onto this forum, I have been trying for months and just seem to miss it. So, It is exciting for me to even think I have a chance at a response and maybe even a suggestion for a "Great Hotel" in Ocean City, MD for a romantic getaway for two (sans children)!!!

I forgot to ask for a picture! Frown

I figured since this was the first time getting onto this forum I would make the attempt to ask for one.

My e-mail address is abdka0696@5starinternet.com
You can reach me there for further information where to send it if I can have one.

Please let me know if I can get a picture and I will provide you with address and name, etc...

And thanks for being such a great host, even if all you do is jump on the beds and enjoy wonderful spa treatments. At least you help to take me away from the stress of life with a husband, 3 kids, full time job, a Jack Russell Terrier and last but not least a Tabby Cat.

You're the best, Samantha Brown!

Thanks for the advice but overextending myself is something I have absolutely no problem doing when it comes to being able to spend time with people who enjoy the show.

My goal is to answer all the posts on the day they were written but sometimes things happen and I am not able to do that. However, I do read every single post and answer every post that asks a question, unless of course it's too personal. The sentence "samantha is here all week" is not misleading at all. A week is seven days and I am here. Also it states on the "Samantha Responds" that I will check in and respond from time to time so that you understand I am not on-line and available 24 hours a day. Especially at your post time of 5:55am.

Is that an invitation? I'm There! We are starting a European adventure series which just means in a few years could turn into an Asian adventure series. Ian Wright is by far my favorite host and I'd love to see that Globe Trekker show. Have you read Kitchen Confidential by Mr. Bourdain? Great Book.
