Finally! Like many of you it was through Lonely Planet that we first became acquainted with, and especially appreciated, Ian's personality and experiences. My sis and I were avid watchers.

In recent years TC just hasn't been as fun as it use to be.
Boy, some of the programs. I don't care about shocking beach behavior.

Going places, seen things we don't have the time or money for. . .new experiences, other cultures, connections, or just friendly return visits. Ian takes us along for all that and with his sparkling soul makes the trip interesting and fun.
It seems people he encounters on his travels enjoy him, too. It's just such a joy to travel vicariously through him.

Ian has become an idiot and the Travel Channel has lowered its standards by putting this show on TV. Travel is one thing. Sheer idiocy is another.
