my initial scan of the thread list left me a little saddened, i thought it was all us cities. there is good food elsewhere as well, folks!

saw a few others, but wanted to start a thread that was about regions/cities outside of the us. my contribution for food capital of the world is piedmont italy. here's a good writeup of places to see in piedmont; there are even different festivals devoted to food throughout the region, every few months or so.

i'm into truffles and wine, especially the latter, so therefore italy is my culinary destination.
