when we went through vegas we stayed the middle of the week in circus circus - the rate was 45.00 a room . the midway has free shows every 2 hrs. or so . also you can pay a minimal fee to ride the trolley to all the other hotels to catch all of their free floor shows .our kids were wowed by everywhere we went and it didnt cost more than time to go around to each floor show . we let the kids choose 1 pay to see activity -- we went to shark reef in the mandalay bay hotel - they loved it .also in the evening you can catch the trolley agin -- if the kids arent too pooped and go cruise the strip to see all the hotels all lit up .

Why oh why oh why would you bring children to Las Vegas? Las Vegas's attempt to market itself as a family vacation destination was not only ill-conceived, it wasn't a success. There’s a reason why the new slogan is, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Vegas is a place of adult activities, gambling, drinking and night life. Leave the children home, or go to a family appropriate destination.
Think about what you are teaching your children when you take them to Vegas.

why would we go to vegas? we had to stop somewhere on our way to cali to see family -- geez.we dont gamble ,and theres alot of people who were born and raised in nevada who would strongly disagree with your view. we thought the family aimed entertainment for a stop over trip was great,and no more sinful than any amusment park.

Oh my goodness you are so wrong! Much to our dismay a few years ago our four kids begged to go to LV--we did and had a great time-and spent a total of $20.00 gambling! There is so much for kids that isn't gambling and seedy night life-it was an appropriate and fun place to take them-they will never forget it.
