All toys are made in China. All radios, computers, TV, and the like is made in Japan or Taiwan. We don't make any tools anymore. We don't make a lot of our heavy machinery here. If someone has two plants in this country one will move to Mexico.

From what I see, yes, most toys are made in China, I saw an article last December about what toys are still made here, they're not really toys except for board games.

Tools are still made here, you just need to look a little. If you go to Sears and look for hand tools, try Craftsman, they're made here. They don't have their power tools made here but tools like socket sets, etc. are made here. Klein tools are made here. I went to a store named Orvac, the tools made here were twice as much though.

There is one computer company over here named Polywell.

The problem is companies have to stay alive and keep share holders happy. It's kind of like a domino effect the way I see it, if one starts to outsource, the competitors have to do it just to stay alive. No matter how much we say outsourcing helps, look at how few American companies are left in technology. Once there were a lot of computer brands, now they're bought out by some bigger companies like Compaq is now HP, Gateway will be Acer(Taiwanese company). Cisco is a well known company but look what is happening, a Chinese company called Hua Wei is copying their technology, even the commands word for word. I don't really know what to think any more these days. Makes me wonder what ever happened to our innovative ideas and we can do it ourselves attitude.
