I am curious as to how the MH team was chosen to investigate Gettysburg. With all the professional ghost hunters, namely TAPS (who I think would have loved the chance to investigate) why them? Being British, they had no knowledge of the Civil War, or Gettysburg (with the exception of the so called psychic who claimed to no nothing of Gettysburg...yeah right) and it appeared the made no real attempt to as their facts were way off. The show was a train wreck. Lack of history, respect, professionalism, knowledge of equiptment. So I am just curious, the big question is who paid who and who "sold out"??

I think the bigger question is, why do you people keep posting negative s***, and why are you not banned from the forum. That's the real question isn't it?

Kathleen - they were not invited. The Travel Channel contacted the town of Gettysburg and offered them MONEY. Not having prior knowledge of US History works in their favor. Having a southern Medium in Patrick Matthews does not however he did well for his time on the show. I think it was a success. How Zenaphobic a person are you?

Do you mean "Xenophobic"??

It has nothing to do with their being British, it has to do with thier lack of professionalism and knowledge of Gettysburg. The "medium" was a total fake and it was quite apparent in the Farnsworth House with the whole sharpshooter/Jennie Wade story. Just an embarassing thing to watch. If they had done their homework, especially the so called Medium from the South (who knew nothing of Gettysburg - yeah right), he would have known how well documented this battle was and would not have made up such a stupid, stupid story of Terrence & Art.
And while I am not zenaphobic, as you incorrectly spelled it, I do have a problem with anyone standing on a battlefield where so many died, attempting to summon dead soldiers by calling them "cowards".

Did they do a good job....no
Was it entertaining....yes, if you enjoy watching people making fools of themselves.

Someone who is zenaphobic is afraid of or hates all things Zen and Zen related. Sorry to hear you're such an anti-Buddhist Wink

I agree, the hell with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. No one should have the right to their own opinions or to Freedom of Speech if it contradicts your opinions. Ban them all.

My understanding is that TAPS was interested in coming to Gettysburg for its live Halloween special, but when they heard MHL was doing this show, they decided against it. They didn't want two shows to do similar shows so close to each other, so they're going to Fort Delaware instead.

That's a shame, because I'd be very interested in seeing TAPS do a 'live from Gettysburg' show. Maybe next year.
