Looking for conformation of what I believe to be fossilized coral. Actually I have learned that it is not coral, but a fossil of some kind of marine life. Any ideas would be very welcome. Comment here or email me ron@rockroost.com or contact me through my site www.rockroost.com Thanks Ron I received an email from a very reliable source and will post the surprising answer soon. Don't miss it.

Ok, I know it's not a rock but it is something fossilized, most likely not coral either. I do know however, from a geologist, that it is some kind of sea creature. Can anybody help me with this. Thanks for the imput, Prospector_Ron

"Ron as to your mystery rock, not a fossil. It looks like a > Thunder Egg core. It is its shape that gave it away. If anyone plans to visit the Deming, NM area be sure to stop by and say hello to Chris and the Geode Kid at their shop on the way to Rockhound State Park.
