Does anyone know what these stones are, you can see thru them they are heavy?

They were gotten to me as a present.

Can you only see through the edges or also the thick areas? Possibly Rainbow Obsidian as it looks glassy. Another possibility is slag from a smelter. That is found in a variety of colors, green being very common here in AZ. Let us know what you finally determine it to be Thanks, Prospector Ron
